Coffee that was already purchased before the brokeness?

I mixed some moderately low-priced dark coffee with some cheap (eight o'clock) regular coffee half and half and it was some really yummy coffee. Seems like the dark was just a bit too strong by itself and the reg coffee toned it down just enough while keeping a lot of that full flavor. Both were whole bean and I grind them right before I make the coffee. That seems to make a difference regardless of what kindo f coffee you buy.
