Ian was threatened with arrest this morning after asking the judge questions.

I feel he could have been less combative, and more open to making it seem like he wanted to actually figure out what was going on.

Next step will either be the complaining party offering to step foward, or a trial date.

How dare Ian ask questions doesn't he know that the crown is god and should never be questioned. Damn proles think that they are free.

My primary purpose was to make my offer to them.  The questions were something to fall back to.

I certainly could have been smoother, but I am satisfied with my performance, all things considered.  It was going fine until he interrupted me.  If anyone was combative, it was Mr. Burke.

Should this go to "trial" I will make it clear I never consented to the plea, (making the trial invalid) then launch into the questions about understanding the nature and cause of the proceedings.

After we all left the courtroom and were filling up the lobby, I overheard a conversation from 2 bureaucrats, not sure of their "job" titles.

The first guy says, "Who are those guys?"

Other guy responds, "They're freestaters, I think we should lock them all up."  His lack of an explanation to his buddy makes me think he was just trying to sound intimidating to any of us within earshot.

I was pretty shocked by his reaction to us simply being present.  I guess he feels threatened.  Ah, I love it.
