Poulsen Hybrid, Inc.

Look at the rear wheel.

The motors attach by adapter plate to the lug bolts of the rear wheels. The comtroller and batteries go in the trunk. Only installed at the factory or authorized dealer (they are setting these up now.)

Tax incentives:
We have not pursued any tax credits, carpool lane access, parking or other incentives. This will be up to the politicians, locally and federally.

cool, bit pricey, especially for the lighter and more powerfull lithium ion batteries, but a neat idea.  conversions of existing autos is actually an old idea, but they seem to have streamlined their conversion.

There is a guy in NH who is converting any car to a plug-in hybrid by hooking up the electric motor to the driveshaft. Ok maybe make that any rear-wheel drive car. I met him, but lost track of his company info.
