Friday

I slept late on purpose and it's still -12 outside!  I had to dig around under the bathroom sink to find the hair dryer that hasn't been touched in, well, years.  Even I'm not crazy enough to go out with wet hair in this.   :icon_farao:

Good move!  If you bump your Boo font getting into the car you'll suffer 'shatter hair'.

It was -10 in Manchvegas when I got out to the cah at 6:15 this morning.

-28 here without the wind chill. The dog gets to go out in 30 second clips. Her feet freeze and then she can't walk.

I'm glad I can draw my comics without leaving the house.

It was -21 in Campton at around 6 am, bbbrrrrr!   Rick turned on the minivan about 15 minutes before it was time for me to leave for school so I'd be warm.

I have about 5 solar blankets in the glove compartment, what other recommendations are there for the winter as far as for emergencies in the car?   I hope I worded that right, like what else should I put in the minivan in case it breaks down and I have no cell reception?   I think this was covered last year but I forgot.

Solar blankets won't help with cell phone recepion.

No durrr, but they will keep you warm while your waiting for someone to come by and hopefully stop unless they think your a big ball of aluminum foil.  ;D

I think it was only -22 this morning ... so things are looking up.

I keep a cold weather sleeping bag in my car; I figure that would be a lot warmer than the solar blankets.

Yesterday the high in Anchorage, Alaska was 45 degrees.  Last night it went all the way down to 36.

Weird shit.

We had an improvement in the temp today from 30 below to 15 above. I'm out without a hat. It feels tropical. Both of my diesels agree. They started right up.  :toocool:

Ack...we shoulda picked Alaska instead of New Hampshire!  ;)

Reminds me of a ten day "cold weather survival " stint in Alaska in Jan 83.  It was colder in KY & TN.

The official low in Berlin Friday morning was -39, and Saturday morning they had this to deal with:
