Bill St. Clair

It's also old news. Has been posted here before, and just about everywhere else. But it's been coming up again in the 2a press. This bill has no cosponsors. It will almost certainly die in committee.

I agree that it's a really bad bill. I just don't see it having a chance at passing. H.R. 45 is exactly the same text that Bobby Rush introduced in 2007 as H.R. 2666, "Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2007". I compared. The only thing changed is the bill number and the year. That one, like this one, had no cosponsors, and it was referred to the Judiciary Committee, then to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, where it quietly died. I agree that the makeup of the 111th Congress is closer to passing such an abomination, but unless it gets some cosponsors, it'll never go anywhere. Especially with Pelosi denying even a new "assault weapons" ban.
