It's stuff like this that makes me nervous about taking photos.  :-\

If people don't want their photo taken and they feel they must venture outdoors, there are options:

Glad Friday is back home! :)       I never knew her name and I missed Dave R's video!  And I must say in Dave's defense that when I "starred" in a Ridleo, he did a good job as well as honored my request to make 1 edit (I made a crack at the Manch. Gov which he removed.)  I'm sorry you were upset with his work.  I have to agree with Tom that it's more important to get the truth out first, versus getting the video out fast.

Ian, your photos are funny!  I think I'd prefer the former one to wear at PorcFest as it's not going to be touching my face and I think it would better protection from any Bugs (plus it looks like the top beam might give me internet access)!

I've thought for a while that classes on social behavior might be helpful. I mean, I can be a jackass some times, but at least I am aware of it...

I actually have to work to and maintain my jackass mystique.

Hi Friday!    :hello:

Comes natural to me.

Welcome back Sandy Kotter.

Re:  do we really think we're that fascinating to the rest of the world?

I don't know the answer to that, but we started posting photos of what's going on here as a recruiting thing, to show people what's going on activism-wise and how much fun we have doing stuff.  The videos people have been posting are even better at doing this, I think.  The intended audience isn't the world, but people who are thinking about moving.  But I guess I shouldn't speak for the intentions of the people making the videos.

That's one of my favorite TV show theme songs. The show was just alright (although I did like Gabe's comedy).

Welcome back, Sandy!

There are many reasons why someone who is a supporter of the cause here would want to keep their name and info private. One way to do so is to limit the people who know who you are to a minimum of very trusted folks. I had a situation where someone I felt was trustworthy asked about something that I could help with. I contacted that person privately and worked the situation so that I was able to offer my help. Later, there came a point where a little promotion of the situation was going to happen. To the extreme credit of everyone involved, I was asked in advance if my info/image could be used. I can not express my gratitude to everyone involved enough for keeping my life private. I publicly thank them here... they know who they are...  ;) ;D However, privacy is a very important issue to me. I'm not hiding from "the authorities"... I'm not "on the run"... BUT, I have my reasons for my position. I applaud the openness of folks and understand both the need and desire for such. Some very limited folks here know who I am and have met me. They know I'm not some "plant", and just as importantly to me, they respect my desire and need for privacy. Thanks to all of the bloggers, reporters, FSPers, freedom lovers, civil dis folks, fighters against the machine, that are out there. As much as I can (and even if it is never seen by others), I am with you. Good luck...
