Porc 411 call, 2009.08.09

There was a series of Porc 411 calls today from the road in Missouri. It wasn't all clear, but here's what I heard and remember:

They (female caller) were traveling from Deerfield, New Hampshire to Witchita, Kansas, but got pulled over in Missouri. Probable cause: the trailer was blocking the licence plate on the car. A second police car arrived at the scene. Someone (the driver?) was taken out of the car and questioned. The police appeared angry at one point. The person out of the car, it turns out, had an arrest warrant for (it sounded like) trafficking drugs.

The last call was at 11:51 this morning. It was from a 603 area code cell phone.

Does anyone know who this was? The name was unclear. Has anyone checked up on them, and is the situation well at hand?

I think you're right. "The Twin". They were on I-70 West about twenty minutes into Missouri (O'Fallon). Apparently the 'driver' is Dan.

Upon listening a second time, I got that the driver asserted his rights, and they were let go! It was really hard to hear, but apparently Dan said any arrest or search was illegal because there was no warrant. It'll be interesting to hear the details on this.

Of all the chickenshit excuses to stop someone, that takes the cake. How does any trailer not block a clear view of the tow vehicle's rear license plate?

MT, you must have better ears than I do. I couldn't understand 90% of it, except "I guess I'll call back later".
