It sounds as if the "little folks" got angry. This is good. I am sure that pig was quite worried that he'd get an old fashioned asskicking which IMO would be well deserved. The only bad side to that is that it would give the other piggies the perfect reason to open fire on innocent folks. Then let the media put a nice spin on it.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall the incident, as originally reported, was that the man had struck a vehicle along the parade route, then refused to stop.

Could this mean that (*gasp!*) the police lied in their initial report?

I thought the article I read said he bumped a police SUV when it pulled in front of him.

maybe next time if the police don't want their SUV bumped they won't park it in front of a tractor.

After reading the different reports, I would be willing to bet a lot of money that it was more like the police SUV pulled in front of the tractor to stop it and the driver tried to turn and go around and "bumped" the vehicle blocking his progress. Either that, or the SUV pulled up so close the poor guy couldn't stop the tractor in time.
