Forced Health Care is Constitutional

Or so says Senator Blanche Lincoln. Gotta love the total and complete disconnect from reality:

QuoteSen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) told CNSNews.com that Congress has the authority to force individual Americans to buy health insurance because the U.S. Constitution "charges Congress with the health and well-being of the people."

The words "health" and "well-being" do not appear anywhere in the Constitution.
Only government officials can claim the emperor has clothes and believe it.

Yep. In order to be an American citizen you must buy what we tell you to buy, from whom we tell you to buy it.

Everything is constitutional according to politicians.

They wire tap Americans, kidnap them, torture people, murder them. The constitution gives them their power so they can hurt people.

Without the constitution they would have to find another way to gain that power to do the horrible things that they want to do.

Without the constitution they would just use force and not even attempt to fool anyone.  They want power over everyone around them and they would use anything necessary to gain it even if they have to lie cheat and steal.

It not the constitution then religion, or offer protection or whatever... the government isn't the problem, its the followers who believe the leaders who offer to care for them from birth to death if they give them the power to do so.

But it is the constitution that is fooling a lot of people, Politicians want power over everyone around them and they use the constitution to gain it, the constitution makes it easy for them.

It's the religion of the offer of protection from whatever... and the constitution is their bible. (they use the parts that give them power and ignore the rest of it, like most bible thumpers.)

The US government like ALL governments is stealing, torturing and murdering people, it's a problem. Saying that the government is not a problem makes things worse.

It's the followers of the constitution that believe it protects them and controls their leaders greed and blood lust, that gives government it's power.

Anyone else having problems with this forum lately?  I'll try this again since my last post didn't take.

The problem isn't with the Constitution fooling people.  Look at this forum and others like it, people who have read and understand the Constitution are not fooled into anything.  They are the ones standing up and screaming the loudest that what is being done here is wrong and violates the Constitution.

Talk to the people defending the gun ban in the state house, within a couple minutes it becomes very clear most have never read the state constitution at all and have no understand of it and their understanding of the federal constitution is mostly limited to the more discussed amendments and sound bites.

These are the same people who would allow dictators, religious zealots and others to rise to power by promising their followers that they would take care of them.

If you think the Constitution protects you from anything you are being fooled. It's a piece of paper everyone else ignores. You've even talked with people that have not read it, because the constitution does not matter.

Everyone understands the constitution differently, because it's nothing more than ink distributed in a pattern on an old piece of paper. Everyone sees a different reason for the patterns of ink when they look at it.

I don't understand why people worship the consitution.
