Rocco is a golden or a reasonable likeness of.

I've only seen him as a puppy. I have a picture of Rocco I that makes me sad when I run into it.

Kat Kanning

Today's the first day Ill have time to call and try and find Rocco.  I assume they do euthanize.  Yes, Rocco's Golden Retriever, about 8 months old.  Firecracker should get my letter today.

My first thought was that Joe was at his place, way back in the woods, so nobody should care if he fired a couple of shots.

Then I wondered if he'd driven the RV on the road, until I saw he crossed the highway with it, onto a neighbor's land.

While I believe he should be able to have all the guns and illicit substances he wishes, and over-indulge in a legal substance, I'm very sad that he's probably going away for a very long time over some stupid drunken bad decisions.

Feh, this place is closed in Wednesdays also.  Open noon til 4 other weekdays.

I couldn't get Tamworth PD to answer the phone either.

Friday

I got a cop to pick up the phone. He said Rocco would have been taken to the North Conway Humane Society.  He thinks someone may have picked him up already, but he wasn't sure.

The NCHS is only open 12-4 and is currently not answering the phone.  Their number is 447-5955, if someone wants to try a little later.   :grommit:

I left a message at the humane society just now.  Couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone.

Lady called back and said Rocco'd been picked up.  Firecracker said his friend in a mobile home might take him, so guessing that's who has the dog.  Still looking for a more suitable home.

Kat Kanning

I got another letter from Firecracker today.  He said he's possibly facing a 15 year to life sentence.  Sounds more likely to be hit with a minimum 10-20 year sentence.

For being drunk and stupid?!?!?!

I think I might throw up.   :(

I'm pretty sure that in today's society, according to the law, the most severe crime you can commit is drinking near a motor vehicle. The penalties for that are often worse than actual violent crimes when people get hurt and killed.

Jim Johnson

I'm here to put to fine a point on the subject.
Joe probably would not be in jail right know if he had obeyed the Government's restriction on firearms and certainly would not be facing 15 years for the other things that he had supposedly done.

One can spend their entire adult life in prison, with out a trial, for disobeying the judicial branch of the Government.
You can be killer rapist and get better treatment than someone who disobeys.

That being said:
Thank You for the information Kat, I'm sending Joe a letter.
