Uh, 1kW is about a horsepower and a third.

Sorry, but the claim that it has better power/weight ratio than many sportscars is just ludicrous.  Loaded weight with an average adult would be what?  175, 200 pounds?

130-150 pounds per horsepower is not anything close to the power/weight ratio of any sportscar.  Some vehicles that barely qualify as sportscars might have a ratio as bad as 30 pounds per horsepower, but most will be in the teens or lower.
