Perhaps the public is wising up a little.

If the public was wising up they wouldn't have elected anyone.

The senate would be empty.

Oh well. I'll have to wait for the next 10k free staters to move to NH, so I can have liberty in my lifetime.

Many voluntaryist or anarchist types came to that position through the Ron Paul portal.  I think in some ways Rand Paul winning is a good thing, you gotta crawl before you can walk.  Not everybody gets it all at once like the rest of us freedom geniuses.  Disclaimer : This is in no way an endorsement of government on my part.   ;D

My understanding is that there is 800 who are known to have moved and probably a couple hundred more who don't want to sign, for a total of ~1k here. The 10k number is just how many have signed the FSP and no one is obligated to move until we hit 20k, then everyone moves over. Of course, some will have forgotten, moved on, died etc. before 20k is hit...So keep waiting for the next 19k ;)

The first time around it took about 23 years, depending on where you want to start counting, from the idea of real liberty to the adoption of the Constitution.

When do you think this liberty movement really got started?

If we don't think that electing Rand Paul was a sign of the people of Kentucky waking up, maybe we can agree that they at least rolled over and farted.

It's probably less about Rand Paul and more about anti-Washington sentiment. The Dems are gonna get their asses kicked because they are in power while things are falling apart due to crap  that both parties have doing for years.

Too bad he can't keep his mouth shut.

He handled himself quite well on Rachel Maddow (who is not friendly to Republicans, in general).

I'm sure it is wonderful, but I won't watch a minute of that idiot woman.
