There still not over Loyd's visit back in 1969

Jim Johnson

There he was, ruining it for the rest of us.

Russell Kanning

i used to laugh when passing drivers or cop-types call us hippies .... now I have to worry about getting jailed or sent to the frozen tundra or the iraqi desert for acting too much like a hippie

...and with that Bob realized it was finally time to throw out his 40 year old striped bell bottoms he'd been saving since junior high.   :P

Lloyd Danforth

When I get down to a 34 inch waist, I have bellbottoms with patched patches.

Jim Johnson

Not to worry, your three piece polyester plaid suits are perfectly acceptable to the police of any nation. (Excluding the fashion police of course.  But they're just bitter people who where severely embarrassed, by clothing fashionistas, as children.)

And you can still wear anything from your Miller Travis collection.

Lloyd Danforth

I get a little teary when I think of my lost Nehru Jackets :'(

Jim Johnson

Here is something else only hippies would wear in the sixties.

God damn unamerican to wear a flag like that.

Jim Johnson

I'm sorry Lloyd, I was talking about the dress, but right she would look much better with her hair down.

Russell Kanning

so lloyd .... do you think you could pass as a "proper tourist" in malaysia?

i was watching a lonely planet malaysia travel dvd last month ...... and most of the tourist they ran into could be considered hippies
how much do they want from a tourist ..... spend money and don't kill anyone?
hippies might be better at that than other visitors from the US to southeast asia

Lloyd Danforth

As a matter of fact in 1969 I was doing everything I could to avoid a vacation in South Easr Asia.

My momma taught me in the early 70s that hippies were bad people. Today I are one.
