I've been thinking for a while that the real obstacle to changing people's minds about war and governments is the working class.

They are the cannon fodder.

They are the mothers and fathers you have to convince to sacrifice their children.

They are the ones that have been sold the "All the troops are heroes." BS

Couple that with the tribalism of "Go team!"

Just yesterday, I was telling my (r) brother and my (d) dad about the worst scorn of all being always saved for the anarchists and the pacifists.
Of coarse, they both knew it was true, but they did not want to admit it - particularly, not even to themselves. 
And, each of them would have been happier if I'd just pick "one side or the other."
