I'm starting to think that all humans are Cylon.

I've always thought that a major theme of the show is that war is dumb.  When you lump people into groups, it's easy to cling to an us-vs-them mentality, and to consider them as sub-human.  But when you interact with them on an individual basis, you're faced with the uncomfortable realization that them are just like us.

QuoteTo bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else,
it will feed my revenge. He hath disgraced me, and
hindered me half a million; laughed at my losses,
mocked at my gains, scorned my nation, thwarted my
bargains, cooled my friends, heated mine
enemies; and what's his reason? I am a JewCylon. Hath
not a JewCylon eyes? hath not a JewCylon hands, organs,
dimensions, senses, affections, passions? fed with
the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject
to the same diseases, healed by the same means,
warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as
a Christianhuman is? If you prick us, do we not bleed?
if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison
us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not
revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will
resemble you in that. If a JewCylon wrong a Christianhuman,
what is his humility? Revenge. If a Christianhuman
wrong a JewCylon, what should his sufferance be by
Christianhuman example? Why, revenge. The villany you
teach me, I will execute, and it shall go hard but I
will better the instruction.
-- William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

The oracle was right.  All of this HAS happened before. And all of this will happen again.   :(

Saul's wife is going to return. She died before the resurrection ships were destroyed. She's gonna add some drama to that situation for sure.

The Cylon men and Bad Boomer have to show up again at some point, too.  They've been gone an awful long time now...

Puke

Maybe they'll find the Klingons who will then obliterate both the humans and the Cylon.  :D

Friday

One hour and 35 minutes until... Adama's death?  Tighe's death?  Roslyn's death?  Baltar's death?

Will I still be awake/sober enough to remember??  Oh, the suspense is killing me!   :D

Was BSG on last Friday? I fell asleep, and they haven't posted a new episode to Hulu yet, so I'm not sure.

toowm

yes

I have it on Tivo, but I don't have a way to transfer it.

Let me know if you want to come over to watch it.

Hulu's delay switched from 1 day to 8 days, so we'll be able to view last Friday's episode on this coming Saturday. The Sci-Fi channel has their own viewer, but it doesn't have the new episode either. http://www.scifi.com/rewind/?sid=32850

Thanks!  I guess I'd have to come over one night this week before Friday, though.

To clarify, the delay between broadcast and availability on Hulu varies from show to show, as does the length of time Hulu has it. They usually say something about availability on the show's page. http://www.hulu.com/battlestar-galactica

Friday

There's only one (1) episode left.   :o  Anyone for a dead pool?   :icon_pirat:

Here are my predictions:

Live
Starbuck and Apollo, leading humacylonity into... frak if I know
Hera
Helo and Athena - Helo's too nice to kill, and the kid needs a mommy
Doc Cottle - he's going to live to be 100, and die with a cigarette on his lips

Die
Adama - will go down fighting
Tighe - will stand by his BFF
Roslyn - would you get it OVER with already? the woman has literally been dying since the series premiere!!
the Chief and Boomer - there's nothing left for them
Caprica Six - the lynchpin of the entire series; she started off destroying most of the human race, and will finish up by sacrificing herself to save what's left of it
Balthar - will do something heroic and selfless for once in his life, finally proving himself to be the man his robotic true love always knew he could be
Sam  :'( - he just doesn't look good with a shaved head and all that goo

Wildcards
Deanna - is she even dead or alive? Did they really leave her on Earth? I'm unclear on that one.
David, the 13th cylon - cuz you *know* Starbuck's missing eggs have to reappear sooner or later
Ellen - will she stick with her hubby, or with the kids?

Die: everyone - cylons and humans finally agree that the galaxy is better off without their petty wars and disease and then decide putting an end to "it has all happened before and it will all happen again" is the best solution.

lol!
