Go to mapquest and get driving directions.

Ahh, google maps thought Allenstown was Suncook.  Guess I'll go back to using mapquest.

Yes, google maps has lots of issues.

I would also recommend that you checkout out http://local.live.com they actually have aerial photos of many rural areas that no other mapping site does. For example they have maps of Grafton, NH at 100 yd resolution and that's pretty amazing for a middle-of-nowhere area.

Suncook was the original name of Pembroke. It is now a village in Pembroke next door to Allenstown.

Have we mentioned that things get complicated here in NH?
They also sometimes don't have street signs or they change the names of roads on you.

If you're going to be in NH, you almost can't live without one of Lloyd's maps.  Spend the $15.00.  As much as I denigrate his map, its actually quite good.  Trust me, those maps have pulled me out of a jam hundreds of times in just the past month.

as much as I avoid google these days...

Friday night it helped me guide my mom through bennington after she and her boyfriend called in from their cell phone to tell me that the power was out and the road was barricaded on RTE 31.  I used Google Erth and walked them through a few backroads until they knew where they were.  Real time usage is pretty cool.

Allenstown is decent in some ways, and not so much in others.  I all depends on where you intend to get to from Allenstown that will make it feasible or not.
