Sam's blog is sweetness and light compared to some of the stuff that's going on right now (very publicly!) in the Texas State Rifle Association.

GONH is the NH arm of the NRA right?

I thought the GONH was the NH arm of the GOA.
NRA. That is why I never supported them.

No great loss then.

Maybe the new group will having meetings on a different date and in a different town.  Hopefully, this will allow more people in NH to make a gun group meeting (with 3 groups in state, and all).

Being part of the NRA, they probably weren't really working towards freedom.

That's also why I never joined - don't see the point in joining an org that exists just to scare people into donating but doesn't actually do anything worthwhile.

Atlas

The next version of GONH should be aligned with the national Gun Owners of America. What do yall think?

Pat McCotter

I believe that was who they were with before their first break up.

I'm sorry, I don't have a lot of respect for the NRA. (Of course, maybe they're different in NH, in which case my apologies.) But around here, they openly support and defend the idea that people should be forced to have a permit to carry a loaded gun in their car. Indeed the Prresident of the SD chapter even said as much.

Around here at least, it's not a group that defends the right to bare arms. It's a group that actively works against the right to bare arms all the while advocating that it's fighting for it. In this way they're no different from politicians.

You see if we actually had some major victories in the right to bare arms, the NRA is afraid it wouldn't have a reason to exist and bbye-bye all that money that everybody's donating to them.

But right now, at least in SD, they're practically in bed w/ the gun "education" commies.

I don't have a lot of respect for the NRA.

Gun Owners of America? Yes They're an excellent group. But the NRA sabatoges advancement as much as it helps.

Remember in SD they like to ban a lot of things. >:D

Well then I agree, they are worthless. >:(

They should support not only the right to bare arms, but also the right to bare legs and to bare any other body parts, as well! ;D

LOL!

GONH was fine; they always stood up for me and were ready to take any baton I handed them and run with it.  But the same people are still in the pro gun fight and will reorganize into something else that works just as well I'm sure.

tracysaboe

So it is bear? The same spelling as the Bear animal?

Good to know.
