The global "College Libertarian" group has over 1700 members and is beginning to plan some large meeting or event on the East Coast.
Please do post a Calendar entry here as soon as the place & date are finalized (and possibly on forum.freestateproject.org as well). We should make sure the FSP has a presence there.

Yeah, Dada, I feel the same way... except some of us "oldsters" are giving the Socialists and Fascists a serious ass-kicking here in Concord!  >:D
I thought we were the young guys.

And you know, perhaps these college students can graduate and move here and vote and replace the ones who are not supposed to be voting here!

I bet we could do this for First 1000 too.
Do it! Please!!!
F1K needs a boost, there is a Yahoo group dedicated to people who are working on this:

If you believe a dedicated effort on FaceBook or MySpace will help, please make it so!

I became member 540  ;D  This was a great idea, Ragnar.

I'm talking to the College Republicans at USC. The CRs in SoCal seem to include a lot of Libertarian-oriented types, including the upcoming new chair. Maybe we can all try to call up some student groups that might be receptive to the FSP and ask to come speak at a meeting.

myspace also has a free state group which has currently 254 members.

I might also add it has quite a few attractive females!!!   :heartbeat: :smitten:

Quick update on Free State Project, The Facebook Group:

1.  The group just climbed over the 600 member mark and will likely shoot over 700 as I invited over 200 College Libertarians from New York University (NYU) earlier this afternoon.  I'm making a concerted effort to recruit students from the Northeast for the same logistical/practical reasons we've discussed before.

2.  4 people have publicly posted their intent to move to NH (2 of these are myself and Mackenzie Condon) and another is seriously looking for jobs in NH.  I was hoping for more but I'm sure we're planting good seeds as students stay updated with the group.

3.  Interaction has been very positive thus far.  There's always going to be a few people who exhibit skepticism and a few more who prefer to continue complaining and arguing about liberty rather than doing something so I have to occasionally defend the credibility of FSP and refocus the discussion on activism.

I'll try to keep posting here from time to time as the group continues to grow in numbers and spirit.

In Liberty,

Ragnar

I cannot applaud you enough, but I damn well can try!

Does facebook include colleges in Canada?

Looks like this is growing fast. Hopefully it will be a tool to bring young folks to NH.

Is there something on MySpace that can be done as well? That's a huge group for teens/some college students as well. The more the merrier I say.

Thanks again, Ragnar!
