We have a La Carretta here, but I don't think they're part of a chain.

La Carreta also has a spot on DW highway in Nashua too, close to FunWorld.

We think the same family owns both the Manchester and Nashua resturatants.

We have one here in Derry. We will try it out and report back as a Texan sees it. Shorty's was a big disappointment. Margarita's is typical yuppie Mexican like On The Border has. Dan and Carol found a small doesn't speak English well place just off Elm St. in Manchester, but I can't find the menu now to tell you the name.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH  NEVER SAY NO BEER!
I would of course remedy that sad situation if I was really close enough to pop over, sigh. Well maybe some day I will live on Nut Hatch street and pop over. :)

Yea .... we don't go out for Mexican food ... Kat makes it.......mmmmmmmmm homemade salsa.

Kat Kanning

I'll start looking for places for sale on Nut Hatch!

Craig, the same family owns restaurants in Arkansas.

You mean the family that owns La Carreta?

The restaurant by that name here in town is on the Arkansas side. Yellow pages also lists one in Rogers (northwest Arkansas), but I don't know if they're related.

One of the best in Arkansas is La Hacienda, in Hot Springs. It's been owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years.

What about the grocery stores?
Can you buy alot of different chiles and hot sauces in them?
Here in Sweden the stores usaly only have red and green chili and most of the time they don't even have that.

The selection is 'ok' not great.  Some stores are better than others.

There is a Trader Joe's just over the border from Nashua in Mass.

Yeah when we lived in LA we lived near 3 of them.  I think that is what my wife misses most about CA.
We make a monthly trip to TJoes.  I don't think that they will open in NH due to some liquor laws (what manager in the Newton MA store said).

We have written them several letters asking them to open in NH.
