I would be extremely interested if dogs are allowed, and this person would be willing to trade work for rent (either short or long term, please see my other post)

Freenow, it sounds like you should contact freedominnh on this forum.  I believe he's offered to trade room for work before, and he's very doggie friendly.

He's a really nice guy!

He said he doesn't usually do pets, but would consider exceptions for FreeStaters, and he's offering reduced rent.
