I plan to be outside the prison playing "The Peaceful Rebel" on Wednesday early evening (5:00-5:30ish).  This is a spiritual thing for me.  I feel I must go there to do this.
If anyone else can be there, it might help.

I'm not yet sure if I'll be back there for sunrise to do it again, but that is my intention at this time.
If anyone can be there on Thursday morning, I'll commit to it.

Kat Kanning

I'm thinking about doing it, John.

Christopher King

Good luck guys.

I think you should do it. Hell if I were there I would join you but alas, I am back down in CT.

As you know, always bring your video camera.  If there is more that my team and I could help you with in terms of editing a professional video, or setting up a video podcast like mine, or justiceforkids.net or what have you, just holler. Of course I know most of your money is going toward a good lawyer for Russell, just want to let you know that we're there for you.

Even if we disagree on some things politically, I will fight to the death for your rights to say whatever you want to say. Must stick together.

So based on Russell's desription of what he sees from his prison cell, I decided to forgo the photo-op  - in front of the prison - with the entrance behind me.

I arived in the "dog pound" parking lot a bit before 5:00 and began to play faceing that prison wall . . . then continued to play again and again, as I walked around the bend and up the hill in the road.

On the first wall someone who had a beard came to a window on the second floor, then another in the same window.  They did not stay at the window . . .

As I played quite close to the loading docks, someone came to a window on the first floor (not very far from me at all) and began waveing in a manner that was CLEARLY indicative of one who is trying to be seen.  I could not see the face but the arms (he was waving both) were the size of Russell's.

I can hope - and believe it was my friend.

Sounds like the spiritual quest worked out pretty well :hello: :icon_guitarist:

There's a Skynyrd line: "And Lord, I can't make any changes, all I can do is write 'm in a song . . ."

Sometimes writing about it just aint enough.  It has to be played were it matters.

And the bastars who CAGE my friend thought that this PRISONER could not have visitors - Well to them, F-- U.

John, that was great.  :icon_cheers2:

That's really cool you did this John.

Even in the large version, I couldn't see what was going on in the window.

Russell Kanning

That is funny that you couldn't see my face. I could see you just fine .... once I looked out the window and saw your car. :) That was really cool to see your strummin away.
