Officials Investigate Explosion At ATK Thiokol
Sep 22, 2006 4:38 pm US/Mountain

My Father works on the shuttle and was about four hundred feet away from this explosion that destroyed an entire storage building today.  :o

Other than many broken windows, doors, and some vehicle damage, everyone's okay. There were no injuries.

Thank God that he's okay!  :o

Wow, glad he's okay!

I'm irritated that the TV station showed footage of a rocket test, allowing viewers to believe that it was footage of the explosion, or somehow related.

Glad your Dad is OK, Dude!

Maybe another reminder to tell those whom we love that we do (even if we don't agree on everything)?

One never knows when one's time will be up.  LIVE AND LOVE - TODAY!

Well said John.  Lifes short.  There never is a good time for an accident.  But you make the most of it while you can.
My sincere prayer is for a swift recovery.   :)

Thanks, guys and girls. :)

Here's some video of the destroyed building.

Can anyone do a video capture on this? I cannot figure out how to save video with this worthless "XLON" technology they're using. The video seems to stream straight into the player and it does not save the file anywhere in any format.
???

I did a bit of dissecting on this. It's some VERY weird format nobody's ever heard of before. Your average Windows box wouldn't even recognize this, let alone play it. Which is probably why they used it.

All the video capture software I can find online is shareware.  >:(

Now I cannot even save archives of the New London videos online because they're in some lame flash format.  :protest:
