Well, good luck to Lauren, keep up the good fight!

No problem.  That was nothing compared to sitting in jail for your cause.

Her "barf emoticon" in the second letter made me laugh ;D

That is just horrifying treatment for someone who is supposed to be awaiting trial for a charge which is complete bullshit in the first place.

Thanks for scanning those, Hollywood!   :D

Man, she talks about still being in there in Feb.   I hope that doesn't happen :'(

That just breaks my heart.

Hm.  Letters, you say?  Aside from, "How cruel you must be to incarcerate anybody, much less one not even charged of a crime?" what can I say, and to whom?

I've made some calls and written some letters.  Mostly I try to point out the brutality of this arrest.  I don't know if they really listen, but my theory is that the more they get the more they know that people all over the country CARE about Lauren.  They need to be reminded that she is not forgotten.  I figure I'm just one more voice nagging them.

It's for the same reason I write to Lauren.  I don't really know her, I talked to her for like Five seconds at Porcfest, but I want her to know that even here in Milwaukee she is not forgotten.  The thugs holding her need that reminder also.

I seem to have an excess of U.S. postage stamps, so I'm going to fire up the printer again and see if I can get an article or two past the evil censors at that prison and into Lauren's hands.

Am I understanding correctly from these letters that they're essentially holding her in jail at this point for "offenses" she's committing in jail?
???

This is absurd.

She is such a brave woman. She alone is extending the reach of our movement by many orders of magnitude through her precedent.

It is like the Boston Massacre, which was more symbolic than anything else as an escalation of a conflict against the state. Regardless of what really happened at the event, afterward people were willing to openly die for the cause of liberty.
