I sent the letter to my sister because she has been asking about Lauren's situation...

Her response

Her spirits seem pretty good for someone in her situation.
She seems to be very brave.  I don't think I could be so brave; I'd be
scared to death and would probably completely cooperate, which would
certainly negate the protest aspect of what she is doing.
Please let me know if there is anything I can send to her or to someone
to take to her.  It sounds like they don't let her have much.
It's also disturbing that they are not allowing her any newspapers.

Everyone I've mentioned her confinement to is concerned... we are getting the story, we need to be ready to maximize it's impact once the story breaks to the mainstream audience. (It sucks to have to view this in a mercenary way... but we need to make it worthy of her sacrifice.)
