Error:  Perhaps create a monthly subscription link so people don't have to think about it?

Perhaps the "free" service should only be available to those who prequalify by contributing monthly to something other than the service, like homelandstupidity.us...

FTL_Ian

Like, "subscribe to homelandstupidity.us for $XX per month and receive a free month of Liberty VoIP"....

Who is taking in money for you while you away?

Is there anyone out there who can fix my VOIP? It's been inop for about a month now.  For long periods of time, the phone acts as if it's connected on a call when it's not, and when I do get a dial tone, it takes forever then gives me a busy signal.  Any suggestions?

Kat Kanning

Have you tried powering it down for a while?  That'll teach it to misbehave.  :fryingpan: :whip2: :hammer:

I have two wireless routers, one of which is the VoIP router that I bought from error.  Despite the reasonable rates, I stopped using the VoIP service and am only using a mobile number, so I don't really need the VoIP router any more.  Would anyone be interested in buying it?  I owe error some money and need to pay him back, so I figure whatever I get for the router could go to error to pay toward what I owe him.  I think it was about $100 new, but I don't know what to ask for it, so make me an offer if you're interested.

It is a Linksys "Wireless-G Broadband Router With 2 Phone Ports".  The model number is WRTP54G.

OK, kids, since I'm back, I can accept new subscribers again!

I also have a new phone adapter available, the IAXy. This cute little adapter is the only one on the market that will let you use rotary phones with VoIP services. (It translates rotary dialing into touch tones, so you can actually use a rotary phone to navigate an IVR system! This never fails to amuse.)

I've also managed to cut prices further on existing equipment.

So the current price list is:

New! Digium IAXy $80 (1 physical line VoIP adapter, for existing home networks, usable with rotary phones)
Cisco/Linksys PAP2 $60 (2 physical line VoIP adapter, for existing home networks) No longer available
Cisco/Linksys SPA-2102 $75 $65 (2 physical line VoIP adapter, includes broadband router and QoS settings, for existing home networks)
Cisco/Linksys RTP300 $110 $80 (2 physical line VoIP adapter, includes broadband router, 4-port Ethernet switch and QoS settings) No longer available
Cisco/Linksys WRTP54G $140 $105 (2 physical line VoIP adapter, includes broadband router, 802.11b/g wireless, 4-port Ethernet switch and QoS settings)
Cisco/Linksys WIP330 $350 $200 (802.11b/g wireless IP portable phone, compatible with home Wi-Fi and most hotspots, web browser)

Remember, this service is available only to those living in New Hampshire. Send me a private message when you're ready to sign up.

Oh yeah, I forgot, if you're a former or existing subscriber and want to upgrade your equipment, or just get rid of the service for some strange reason, I'll buy back your old equipment for 60% of the most recent full price, or 65% if you saved the box and manuals and such.

I also have a used Cisco/Linksys PAP2 for $45.

At present most subscriber lines are down due to a hardware failure. I'm working on restoring service and some lines have been restored but at this time I don't expect everyone's line to be back up and running until sometime Tuesday night.

error

Normal service has been restored for all lines. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I will be performing maintenance tonight between midnight and 4 am, to improve the reliability of the service. During this time you may experience dropped calls, or be unable to make or receive calls. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
