DIY Dehydrator:
Box fan
Furnace filters.

I've made several. The storebought ones are easier to clean.

Is this a food dehydrator?

What sort of foods do you plan on dehydrating? (I may have a better, cheaper, alternative for you)

Yes, a food dehydrator.  It'll be veggies or fruit dried at below 115 degrees.
