Another Good Privacy Resource

Hey all. As your self-proclaimed privacy guru, here's another good privacy source: Power Privacy. They have some great practical how-tos as well as some cool forums. You can sign up for a free "demo" account that is only somewhat handicapped, and the full access cost is reasonable, given the value of what you get. It works for me, so perhaps it can be of use to some of you here as well.

Ciao!

SpeedPhreak

link didn't work for me.

do you get commisions for referals?

The expanded link is https://www.powerprivacy.com?a_aid=248c6730. As for referrals, I've been using Power privacy for about 9 months now. They used to have an open paid referral program for all subscribers back when it was a monthly, rather than one-time fee (before I'd heard about them). They apparently had a lot of abuse of the program by scam artists, and thus it is now officially "suspended until further notice". However, I asked them about this, and it seems that if you become a member and then convince them that you're trustworthy, they'll reopen the program for you, at $12/referral in paypal or eGold. I'm not sure if this info should be let out into the wild right now, but you asked. Please be casual about it, and don't mention that you found this out from me, if you would be so kind.

I'm not trying to be sleazy (I think my promotions so far back that up), but rather giving you full disclosure about the current situation. If you're interested, also see the Asset Protection Crash Course (referrer name: andrew) at KeepYourAssets.net. There's a free multi-tier referral program there that I've been involved with since day one (about a year ago). The benefit of a layered model is that you can better leverage your income. By this, I mean that you are rewarded not just the first time, but also when your new referrals refer others. This creates a potentially strong sales network if you are friendly and eager to pass on your marketing skills to others. Who says self-interest can't be beneficial for everyone!

While I'm at it, I've also tried to work with Ron over at http://www.homebusinesstaxsavings.com. He sells a book and related accessories to help home based business owners reduce their tax burdens substantially. The information is accurate (I've interviewed the guy personally), but the man is not someone I'd want to work with, personally. This may be a good option for someone, but this is just my personal experience.

On the other hand, I *can* with confidence say that Power Privacy and Keep Your Assets are valuable for three main reasons:

1. The privacy product is becoming quite big these days as the state gets larger and (allegedly) more in charge. This unfortunate turn of events is leaving many Americans looking for solutions, and so far, a relatively few companies are providing them in a manner that is accessible to the masses. KYA/PP do this.

2. Neither company withholds income or reports any information to government agencies. At KYA (and presumably PP), we only collect the information you give us. We trust our clients just as we hope they'll trust us, and we work with whatever information (or lack thereof) people give us. That means 100% of your hard earned money goes to YOU. Then you can decide what to do with it. After all, we're all competent adults here, right?

3. The products directly enhance your career. The privacy products and services offered can be put right into use for yourself to protect your assets that you earn through the company and through whatever other business you own or work for. It's a positive spiral of upward mobility and personal liberty, if I do say so myself 8-).

For some good general info on network marketing and excellent training material, see mainstreetmlm.com. Their web site material is free, and there are some good CDs you can buy. And no, I'm not getting a commission from them (although it would be nice :P)!

sorry if I sounded like it, it wasn't my intention... regarding you sounding sleazy.  I just saw the expanded part & my dealing w/hyip's & such make me question referal sites.

i did try just powerprivacy.com by itself & was still not loading.

i am extremely busy tonight... but i will check it out again tomorrow hopefully.

It didn't work for me the first time either.  I tried it as an unsecure connection, and I did get through.  I didn't look around though.  Hope this helps.

Something may be tweaked with the system then. I'll pass this on to the admins so that they can presumably fix it. Thanks for the feedback!

I have put off checking up on this for quite a while, but it seems like the link (https://www.powerprivacy.com?a_aid=248c6730), now works. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Also, KeepYourAssets.net will be having some new privacy products on sale, so keep an eye out for that.

In a similar vein, I just read a 2 page article in Atlantic Monthly about the USD as the world's reserve currency. It was rather interesting. For example, did you know that US debts are usually transacted IN USD and that ther nation-states can't really "call in" their loans like they did prior to '71 even if they wanted to. The point that was relevant to privacy was that the author went on a "if you have anything to hide you must be a criminal" tirade, and seems to support the Treasury/Fed's program of reducing the denomination of bills. Come on... it's not like people won't just use 10 100s in place of a 1,000.

If you have a bank account, I suggest requesting that they start putting $50 and $100 bills in their ATMs instead of the virtually worthless $20 and $10 (and even $5!) bills they have now.
