Shows you what I know. I haven't had a reason to even see one in years.

Sounds like a personal problem to me, if you haven't seen a nipple in years ;-)
But seriously, the immunoglobulins seem to adhere to plastic, not glass, and although I've not heard anything about rubber or silicone adherence, it's a much lower contact time, so less likely to "stick", however, I'd not use a rubber nipple as it increases the chances of the child developing a latex allergy later in life (silcone nipple with glass bottle seems to be the safest at this point, for those times when the breastfeeding mom occasionally needs to have the little one nurse with someone else).

Cool!  I'll be the big heavy guy, goatee, no gray hair,  Long Island accent with attitude to match.  I will be towing a 'really Big' cooler, every where I go.  I'm not as funny after I've been sleeping in the outdoors:)

Oh, a wise guy, huh? Nkkk, nkkk, nkkk, (the three stooges sound is what I was trying to go for here).

Thanks Cathleen! :)

Lloyd doesn't smile at all. He just drops these one-liners and waits.

Well, duh! Of course breastmilk is healthier :p.

It's funny though. At the place I work, they sell "organic" breastmilk.
Everytime I see it, I think, "gosh, if only there were some easier way to feed your baby natural milk, that you didn't have to prepare, that were specially formulated for each baby...."

siigh.

Jared

my first child is due to arrive in a couple of weeks, and my wife is very dedicated to breastfeeding. seems like a pretty good idea to me. formula just doesn't seem natural for a newborn.

Wow, organic breastmilk?  I wonder where they get it from, I mean I know where it comes from but who would think of selling it?  If I would have known you could sell it I might have just put my 5 kids on the formula stuff and made money instead. >:D  Only kidding but really I never heard of that. :)

Wow, you guys must be so excited! Congrats!  :occasion14:

Here's an old joke:

How can you pick Dolly Parton's, (sp?), kids  out of a crowd?

By the stretchmarks on their lips!   :biglaugh:

Rochelle

oh, they do sell breastmilk, btw. you can get it online, or you could, but I think the government (who else?) started cracking down on it.
But women who do overproduce milk still work as wet nurses, it's just not as common as it once was :)

Great way to make money, really :)

Kat Kanning

So how do you get yourself certified organic?   :o
