We got around to watching the first two episodes last night (the third episode didn't record because we were having a storm.  >:( )

Very interesting. We'll keep watching.

Topher irritates the crap out of me.

I'm gonna give this thread a friendly "BUMP!"

Quote from: ME!Just a hunch... I think the FBI Agent is Alpha.

If you've seen the last episode AND seen the previews for NEXT episode...

I'm right. Yeah... You can't tell me I'm wrong. Paul Ballard = Alpha.

(Exception... Fansites are reporting that Alan Tudyk - who appears in the previews for next episode - is Alpha... I might buy that since Joss is pulling so heavily from his past casting... "I killed the plant! I'm never gonna get laid.")

Wow!  Holy frijoles!!  Didn't see THAT comin'...   :o

K. Darien Freeheart

I did... sorta.

I can be wrong, but only if Alan Tudyk is involved.

But now there's a WHOLE different element involved. Carolyne isn't really the Carolyne we've seen... It's the skanky girl from CSI who killed the "monster"...

At one point, I went 'They're all Alpha!'

I'm wrong.

Goddamn, this show is awesome and a bit tiresome. After today's episode, the Season Finale will either be TV history, or will involve a skanky blonde lady, a not-so-skanky blond guy and "jumping" a "shark".

WOW!!!!!

Kevin, your posts are a bit spoilerific.  I hadn't read the one referring to the previews for this week's episode, or watched the previews, and I'm really glad; it made it much more fun.  Unfortunately, I watched the previews for the finale, and they revealed way too much for my taste.  :(

FYI, if you buy season 1 on DVD, there's a whole episode that won't be aired.  I don't think I'm going to buy it, though; it's not the kind of show that lends itself to repeat viewings, IMO.  So someone else is just gonna have to buy it and lend it to me.  :D

May I go on record as saying...

I've been wrong before, and probably will be in the future.

QuoteBut now there's a WHOLE different element involved. Carolyne isn't really the Carolyne we've seen... It's the skanky girl from CSI who killed the "monster"...

The above is rabid fan speculation, nothing more. :) If I were to pull pet theories from my butt, I'd actually speculate that teh "Real" Carolyne is DeWitt... That one of the perks of signing the contract is that once you're released, you can be "programmed" with any skillset you desire... And that a previous Carolyne realized after her engagements that teh Dollhouse's "ultimate purpose" is something she agrees with...

BUt that's pulling theories out of my butt. :)

QuoteUnfortunately, I watched the previews for the finale, and they revealed way too much for my taste.

And I'm sure the cliffhanger will pull you in, eagerly awaiting the next season. Which, have you noticed, are more akin to British "mid-seasons" now? (Speaking of British TV... Primeval!!!)

QuoteSo someone else is just gonna have to buy it and lend it to me.   :D

Remind me. I'll be there by then.

Oh, and lemme just say...

I wasn't talking about your speculation; I was talking about revealing stuff from the previews (I hear Joss Whedon himself used to close his eyes during those awful spoilerific opening montages of BSG), big-name upcoming guest stars, etc.  On the New England Browncoats list (which I assume you'll be joining sooner or later, young man?  :inspect: ), that kind of reveal without spoiler space warrants a beating with the rubber chicken of doom.  :hammer:  Just sayin'.

Ever read "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan?

Nope; should I?

Only if you like reading 10+ larger and larger books in a series building towards a huge conclusion, when the author dies. :(

Does anyone really enjoy this show. I can barely watch it, I find it so boring.

Pat McCotter

OK, I watched the whole thing and though it didn't bore me I am going to come out and say it - What was the show about? I get the idea of not using technology just because we can but I don't think the average person will walk away with that. What did I miss?

lastlady

I don't have television and watch shows on the internet so my selection is minimal and lately I've been feeling lazy with nothing to watch. So I am what you would call a captive audience.

I like Eliza Dushku and wish i could get into this show because generally I love watching women kick ass.

The show is about a highly secret "government" agency who houses people who apparently "volunteer" for five years to work as a spy/whore/helper in a variety of capacities. They have their minds erased and are imprinted each episode with different personalities and missions.

The story goes form there and the plot thickens. It's just not very intelligent, not exciting, and not interesting enough for me. I will admit I'm pretty damn picky, since most drama on television and most main stream films hold no interest for me.

Still this one seems more boring than usual...
