She was one of only three governors to proclaim September 5 as "Jury Rights Day", as sponsored by FIJA.

KB, Did you read the topic I posted?

As a Christian, how do you feel about the sentiments she was expressing? Because blasphemy was how I felt.

Yuck! I just got this sent to me.

I love how for so many Christians, blasphemy is no longer considered that big of a deal. Palin is going around saying that the Iraq War is a task that is from God. I just listened to Mitt Romney say that America is "the hope of the world" (I see he has a new Messiah.)

At the risk of sounding like a Democrat, listening to this Republican convention makes me want to projectile vomit.

Caleb how could you say this about Sarah Palin? She is a wonderful lady and if she says that the Iraq War is a task from God then I believe her.

And as for Romney saying that America is the "hope of the world", it truly is the hope of the world, and has been the hope of the world since World War 2 at least.

Luke, traditionally Christians believe that God's Kingdom, and the Christ, are the hope of the world, not man's government. If you read Revelation, the main thrust is the triumph of God's kingdom of over the kingdom's of the world. Cornelius vision was one of an epiphany:  that God is not concerned with the claims of superiority of any particular nation, but instead that God is the God of all - a universal God who loves all men equally. I could go on and on.

If she says that the Iraq war is "a task from God" the major question would be, given that Christ is the Prince of peace who directs that instruments of war be forged into implements of agriculture, how Sarah Palin has knowledge that this war is a task of God.

I had read it before you posted it, yes.

QuoteAs a Christian, how do you feel about the sentiments she was expressing? Because blasphemy was how I felt.

If it was fully and accurately reported, and if the tone and substance of what she said is accurately portrayed in those reports, then I would feel she was sadly misguided, along with about 80% of America's evangelical pastors. Blasphemous? Blasphemy comes from the heart; being wrong about a theological position isn't necessarily blasphemy.

But note the "IFs" above: I no more assume this was fully and accurately reported, than any hatchet pieces against Hillary on Newsmax.
