FLYS IN THE FACE

I'm growing more upset about the existance of the 'Debate about free west movements' in the FSP forum.  The forum belongs to the FSP, an organization that is trying to get 20,000 people to move to New Hampshire, and while I don't think the Wyoming people age going to gain much trolling the FSP forum, the exiistance of the topic flys in the face of the
FSP mission, just as the free town thing did.
I am no longer going to support the FSP financially and I'm pretty sure I'm done with recruiting, too.  the three sign ups at Hempfest cost me about 25 bucks apiece.

Ouch  :(  No offer of reimbursement, I take it?

No, from time to time mailing stuff back and forth ( today, a banner) People have mentioned reimbursement, but, I figure it is part of my contribution, as long as i could afford it.

I have been going through the same thing. I have never given any money to the fsp .... just helped out here and there .... I can't really see myself doing more recruiting. I have met some interesting people ... but am I just leading them to a do-nothing org ???

I still like the idea of attracting activists to NH, so we can concentrate our efforts ...... but the fsp is not a great vehicle (oh no bus reference) for that anymore .... or I am just realizing it.

I just don't have the heart for it anymore. I like the friends we have now and I love supporting people like Lauren ..... she is doing it .... not just talking.

I also love stuff like the LL car wash ..... we had fun and got something done ...... a bunch of cars got clean and the lsfund got another $190

Lloyd, there are many of us who agree with you, that it's time to 'reclaim' the private property which is the FSP forum.  Without going into details, yes, some of us are working on this issue.  Always glad to have more ammo to use in the argument...

Lloyd Danforth

I still think the FSP is the best and most organized Bus (Ahhhhhhhh!) to get the right people to NH, although I am distraught about the dearth of recruits and the forum being devoted to 'intellectual masturbation' and little about recruitment.

That will not fix the problem of little recruitment and endless libertarian (liberty talk) debate.
There is a reason that people are not "following" the fsp ..... if it doesn't stand for anything (including freedom) then where is the excitement?

I wish more people would listen to Joe's "Free Coos Project".

You should open up a topic promoting it on the FSP forum.

Dreepa

Because most ( but not all) of the people here have moved to NH already.
Getting me to move to Coos would be a real stretch now that I just bought a house in Merrimack County.

I promised to move to NH and I did.? Long before FSP got 20K.? In fact I moved less than a year after I had even heard of the FSP.

Where are you?? Coos?

Why? The only people who might listen are here already. That forum died last year, along with the FSP.

Just because.

I could not agree more.  They don't stand for anything anymore, and they regularly correct the media's most miniscule mistakes, all in the name of minimizing risk.

They won't cover anything we do or almost anything that happens here.  They once covered my protest on the front page, but then they took it down after Russell's event and nobody would tell me why.  How are we supposed to lead others by our example if the FSP pretends like it has nothing to do with us and absolutely refuses to communicate our example to potential recruits or existing members?  The only way people find out about our protests are through other forums and media channels because of the FSP's constant media blackout on our activities.

Other than someone's initial story about moving, or the occasional PorcFest, name one action that's on their front page right now.  There are none.

The fancy, unchanging, impersonal website they adopted hurt them as well.

Michael Fisher

If the FSP were to copy the NH Underground's front page content each day, their website might have some value.

But there's still the problem that it is a hollow organization.  There is a complete absence of life or energy there.   :(

It's sad to see active, creative people like Varrin getting sucked into their madness.  He keeps saying he's making progress, and we find it's making progress on such critical issues as getting Jean and Amanda to talk to each other.  Meanwhile, we see zero of use coming out of the FSP leadership for months.  Last thing was Varrin doing Porcfest.  Rogues like Brian Sullivan get things done somehow depite all their roadblocks.
