Quote from: Fluff and Stuff on January 02, 2011, 11:19 AM NHFTIt looks like FSP movers and NH locals from all over the state will be at the event so out of staters could get their questions answered.

I think the environment there will be not particularly conducive to getting questions about moving to NH asked nor answered. I think that some outreach at this event could possibly be productive and be a good idea. But I think that THE LOUD - AND VERY CLEAR - MESSAGE that will be sent out from the people on that stage (and from all around these events) will be:
STAY WHERE YOU ARE!
WORK WITHIN ALL OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS!
"YOUR COUNTRY"  ::) NEEDS YOU TO STAY WHERE YOU ARE AND GET TO WORK THERE.
IF YOU ARE A "GOOD" & "PATRIOTIC" "AMERICAN" YOU WILL STAY WHERE YOU ARE!

It took about 40 years for them to take over and destroy the national LP.
Is the FSP next?
Has it already happened?

Even with the possibility of there being both dozens of FSP movers and dozens of locals at the event to answer questions?  There will be time before and after the speakers and breaks during the speakers.

That is a good point.

?  The main speaker is a hardcore libertarian/austrian anarchist type that likely doesn't care much where people live.  One of the speakers is perhaps the most well known political liberty person in the entire Northeast.  He has welcomed many FSPers to NH and helped them.  Why would he stop welcoming them?  Does Dan not want new movers anymore?

QuoteIs the FSP next?

Is this related to the rest of your post?  I don't get the reference.

Like the idea. In fact I would suggest having a minimal registration fee or donation. Then any speakers can  charge a fee or ask for donations to their events/speeches, if they wish to recoupe their travel and time expenses, or maybe sell advertising .  That way you pay for what you want.  The upfront fee / donation wold be used to secure a large area to hold larger events that could not be held in one's hotel room.

For example it costs speaker X $400 to get to NH and for lodging. He asks for $25 per person, meaning 16 people would have to be intreated to make it worth their while.  That sounds relatively reasonable  seeing past forums have easily had 16 people at most discussions.

This sounds like an event the FSP should send a speaker too, not, adopt as some sort of feeble LF.

Of course, the FSP canceled the LF for 2011 and it is not coming back in anyway shape or form.  The FSP is not thinking of sending a speaker to this event,  (although if you look at the list of speakers you may find one of them is...).  The FSP is not having a LF in 2011 and isn't not adopting a current liberty conference as it's own.  Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

This just seems like, well forget it...

Has anyone talked to the Nullify Now people about if they have room for an FSP outreach table?
How about Free Talk Live, would there be room for someone like them?
How about a few tables maybe shared by some other nonpolitical groups: let's just say something like; The New Hampshire Free Press, Peaceful Assembly Church, and the Liberty Scholarship Fund?

I think that tables are important so that we are not trying to randomly pick out people in the crowd who MIGHT be interested...

Bottom line from conference call:
We currently have one venue that should work. We will have a meeting on Saturday morning at 10:00. The meeting will be at the venue to investigate and give input with regard to the venue. If weather is too bad, we can move the meeting to Saturday afternoon.

The meeting is at the Peaceful Assembly Church, 860 Main St. Grafton Center.

We look forward to seeing all interested parties in attendance.
