I recently came across the New Hampshire rock/metal band Scissorfight, and the first thought that came to mind when I heard the lyrics was that this should be the New Hampshire freedom movements "official" band. Virtually all the songs are about New Hampshire freedom in one way or the other, and just generally kick ass. Specifically the song "Granite State Destroyer" is the perfect New Hampshire freedom song.

"Weed, guns and axes
We don't pay our taxes
Cause we don't exist on any government list
Yeah we're survivalists in the wilderness
Our battlecry - Live free or die!"
- Granite State Destroyer

And besides, how can you not love a band that looks like this?

I've got to like that... although, my head bangin' days are behind me (well mostly)... but I like the purity of their attitude. >:D

Thanks for sharing the music. 8)

If it's video of Russell, they'd have to change the lyrics to "Out nice-guy The Man".  ;D

I love the lyrics to the song "New Hampshire's Alright If You Like Fighting". According to the singer, whose name is Ironlung due to his ability to his high tolerance of marijuana, says the lyrics are an "in-joke" that only NH residents will understand. I guess I don't get the joke, but the song makes me laugh nonetheless. I apologise if any of the locations are wrong, I'm typing by ear and the lyrics are hard to make out behind the loud guitars.

"A nice place to fight in the summer
A nice place to fight in the winter

New Hampshire's alright if you like fighting (x2)

A charge of assault in the summer
A punch in the face in the winter

New Hampshire's alright if you like fighting (x2)

Buzzard jam 99, Dover, Leanord State, The Weirs, Laconia Bike Week, Hampton Beach, Hemming Speedway, Chilton Franklin, Manchvegas, The Mount Washington Observatory, Ellacoya State Park, The new Cheese Ale House, Franconia, Warren(?) Sandpits, Harrisville, Portsmouth. Broken bones everywhere!

Do you like to fight? They'll smash your fucking face in!

500 stiches every summer. A steel-toed boot up the ass!

New Hampshire's alright if you like fighting (x5)"

;D

I'm old too. ;D

'Sweet Home Alabama'... when I first heard that we were moving to Alabama... when stationed in Japan I got tired of the Japanese bands singing 'Sweet Home Arabama'
but in that genre a still think Allman Brothers were the top of the heap, Duane Allman era much more than Greg. :)
