I was also laughing at the idea of you "going out of your way" to shop locally.

I just got that.  Very good  ;D

These guys only have the guts to stand up to walmart ...... because Walmart doesn't throw you in jail if you boycott their store.
Don't pay taxes and see who the real badguys are.
Avoiding sales, income, and property taxes is relatively simple, especially if you live in New Hampshire. Do you ever pay any state or federal gasoline taxes? Do you ever pay the NH rooms and meals tax? How about utility taxes? If you are still paying any of these then why do you keep bragging about not paying any taxes?
I pay some taxes and use some of the things in common.
Have I ever said I don't pay "any" taxes? Then I guess I am changing that now.

I find it annoying that people want to fight against walmart because they are big and make money, when they ignore the government, who is the real evil in this world. Walmart does not invade countries with "shock and awe" bombings ..... they have grand openings. :)

If the taxes are simple to avoid ..... are you? Or are you funding our oppressors?

.......and were early responders after the gulf Coast Hurricaines!

Russell Kanning

ahhh .... so why were you hassling me for bragging about "not paying taxes"?

Russell Kanning

Well basically that is still true. I have found that people can be really confident as they complain about walmart, because they are not truly evil and do not throw you in jail and torture you for your views.

If I owned a large business, I would not appreciate people speaking and acting the way many do towards walmart, so I don't do that myself.

Lloyd Danforth

Sometimes when I hear of yet another attack (daily) on Wallmart, I think how funny it would be if the walton family simply closed their doors, fired all of their employees, burn all of their mechandise, sell all of their real estate for whatever they could get for it, and invested the hundred of billions they still have in tax free municipal bonds.

I don't like Walmart. So I don't shop there.  When I don't like a business I just don't support it.

I can't stand Nike ( not because of the child labor issues but because of Spike Lee) so I don't wear/buy Nike.

If Walmart closes I won't be too sad.   Some other business will rush into fill the void.

If Wal-Mart ever closed it would be better off in the long run for people. And maybe there would be better products for people to buy else where.

Almost everyone else disagrees ..... why else is the parking lot full at every walmart all over the world?

Almost everyone disagrees with you, Russell.
Why else does everyone pay taxes, and the government continue to grow?

Just remember that Large Company's like Wal-Mart have a bigger influance with the government compared to the normal tax payer. And that is not right.

Because the Walmart shoppers are dumbed down, mind-controlled sheep who are no longer capable of acting in their own self-interest. Go to any Walmart and study the people in the checkout lines. It's not a pretty sight.

incapable of acting in their own self-interest....... hmmmm strong statement. Sounds like a call for socialism.

Must of those shoppers at Wal-Mart are simple minded anyways and do not care about the quality of the products they buy there. Or the fact there killing the American dream of the small business owners.
