yes the statewide property tax geared for education...but not local property taxes.

interesting that the lead attorney who won the case, Justin Nadeau. was the Democratic candidate for Congress in '04 against Republican Jeb Bradley.

QuoteI know the property tax is unfair and unconstitutional

why?

the articles of confederation taxation was based on property tax...

Doesn't make it right.

You're problem is that you LOVE property taxes and you're just scared that eventually they'll be abolished along w/ every other evil taxation.

I never said it was right! and I certainly don't LOVE property taxes. Why would you call someone a moron for stating his opinions? I think everyone seems to be basically on the same page or atleast in the same book, Though I have no respect for some one who insults another based on the opinions they express. If you are frustared that much, maybe you need to exercise or get out and get some fresh spring air.

I think people are mostly upset about how: properties are assed, the statwide education tax, and county taxes. This I believe is the fuel for the fire. Time and time people are most upset about what I stated above. This should be the main focal point for any tax revolt.

It's not a tax then you moron.

Tracy,
do you own property? My guees would be no. Do you have a family and you are the primary provider for this family? My guees would be no. It is easy for some one to support a tax revolt if they have nothing to potentially lose. I think once you have some more real life events and or responsiblity, you may gain some wisdom and not be such a fire cracker. With all the knowledge in the world it is nothing without the power of wisdom.

Wrong on all counts. I own my own property, and I'm the primery provider for my family. Amy and I both work full time jobs, and a good chunck of that every year goes to pay property taxes.

Think how much less my mortgage payments would be if I didn't need to pay money everymonth in the escgro to pay for them.

You don't know anything about me. You don't know that "frank" has been trolling the FSP boards and now this one off and on for years advocating that we should support property taxes as GOOD and Noble things as long as it's just on the land portion. He has many names. "Bill G(not gates), Hankster, Greenbacks, etc. But it's the same person.

We're here to minamize and reduce taxes. This person on the other hand, is here, trying to make sure we don't reduce taxes to much because he thinks the state should tax property and the destribute it to the unlanded.

So excuse me if I don't have much patience w/ him.

There's history here that you're not aware of.

I don't understand why he doesn't go play somewhere else.  I think everyone should place him on "ignore".

Place whom on ignore?  ;D

Quoteadvocating that we should support property taxes as GOOD and Noble things as long as it's just on the land portion.

not good and noble but yes to insure equal liberty.

Quotetrying to make sure we don't reduce taxes to much because he thinks the state should tax property and the destribute it to the unlanded.

on the other hand you believe the landowner should be allowed to violate the rights of self-ownership of those being excluded.

but you can't have it both ways...

if you make the right to land absolute then you violate the right to labor and self-ownership while the opposite is not true.

Russell Kanning

I am guessing that guy I am ignoring isn't interested in a property tax revolt.

not good and noble but yes to insure equal liberty.

So, like I said, to ensure "equal liberty" you think property taxes are a good thing.

Quoteon the other hand you believe the landowner should be allowed to violate the rights of self-ownership of those being excluded.

Nonsence they still own their own body, and they have just as much right as anybody else to save up their own money and purchase their own property.

Putting you back on ignore.
