Maybe you should don a disguise so you can make it up the stairwell.. there's probably an APB for "man in a straw hat" out.

Hindsight proves your prescience, Ian.

Good call!

Belive it or not I'm glad you're hear Gone2 , to articulate the pro war position if i may call it that.  You're right that it's important to keep our failings in perspective...  we have done bad things over there but not as many as we might have done if we were systematically intending evil.

Someone said never attribute to evil that which can be attributed to bureaucracy.

that said, whether it's an aggression against iraqis or not, it certainly *is* an aggression against u.s. taxpayers.

 8) well you  are intitled to your opinion.  I think they should bring back the draft.  Then if you were dropped over there you would probably shoot anything that moves.  Don't get me wrong I think you can make a point but.  What about the isrialies, Aphganny, Oh 9-11.  Well I guess somebody has to keep NH free along with the rest of the states.

A wise old man told me when I was young and (basically a dumb ass).  he said put your time in kid and then you can talk to me about it.  Tread lightly my friend soldiers do come home and there are great many people who love and respect them.  Lay off the troops please! Personally I don't ever want another soldier comming home to a bunch of protestin college hippies again.  Put your time in.

Pat K

While I am Leary or casting pearls before swine.

I put time in. Not much and lucky no one was shooting at me, I only wish the best for "the troops" the poor bastards. Bring them home.

I do not advocate slavery.  What I am trying to say is at different time frame in this country we had different attitudes.  Now we do not have the draft.  During my service for my country I enlisted there was no draft. Just after vietnam was (officially over). I served proudly and honorabley.  Think before you speak and think of how your words can effect those in combat.  President Bush did what he thought was right at the time and with congressional approval.  The man is a human being.
Remember that!! Nobody is perfect.

If we want our troops home, you, we, need at this time to provide input on how that task should be accomplished.  Many ideas can become one great idea.  The war in Iraque is not about oil or about WMD its about having a foot hold in a region that is about to explode and trying to unify we as human beings in the realization that things have to change on this earth as a whole.

We have, amongst other countries, enough nuclear weaponary to level the earth ten fold.  After Hiroshima and Nagasaki we learned of just what an a-bomb can do.  A- bomb, is dinasour technology.  But now third world nations have the nuclear technology and the dinasour technology to0. But its cheaper to use the Dinasor technology.  Heck Nintendo games are $1.00 apiece these days.  Xbox $60.00. Get the idea

Remember when you were a kid Nintendo was cool, then you had to have super nintendo, sega, Xbox so on and so fourth.  Now third world countries have a nintendo while the western world has xbox.  Think of nintendo as an A-bomb and xbox as nukes.  To a poor kid (country that has just about nothing) well they got a ninetendo. Ooops we better pay attention to them now!! and soon they will work their way up to the xbox.  Problem being, an unstable poor country can be taken over politically at the drop of a hat.  Who's got the nintendo now!!!

Things gotta change and it only can be done if we realize that.  We have to change it in our own states first.  Nobody is better than anybody else.  I'm a white guy with a white women living in a building with all blacks (African American.  I prefer this.  Why.  Because black people (African Americans) Know what repression and succession is all about. I respect that.  Me I can only assume I know.

But trueth is those in power think less of us whether we are black white or any other race.  Funny thing about it.  It's not like that in other countries.  England, Canada, France, Australia. In regards to race.

It's just a holyer than thow world and it needs to change.  Start with your local government and local legal system first then work your way up to the big boys.

It's all about who's got the power and who don't.

Hold those in power and authority responsable for their actions.

After all the system in your state is suppose to be a reflection of you and your ideas. You (we) (us)

See. Ian's point is that the Draft is a form of Political Slavery. If you're for the draft -- then you're for slavery.

  I would like to see all ideas about how we get the troops home without leaving Iraque in turmoil.  I would like your ideas on how to hold people in positions of power and authority accountable for their actions.  I would like to see a united state thats going to open up there windows and shout: we are not going to take this anymore. But the reality is. I will see pigs fly first.

FTL_Ian

President Bush and the rest of the powermongers in DC violated the constitution, not "did what they thought was right".  America should be neutral.  Entangling alliances with none, to paraphrase Jefferson.

Also, Tracy is correct, though I see no reason to put the word Political in front of slavery.  If I am coerced into doing something I'd rather not do, that makes me a slave.  That's why the draft is despicable.

If you don't support slavery, you must oppose the draft.  Does that make sense?

Protests, LTEs, articles, ACTION.
Give NH 5-7 years and it will shout that.  Of course maybe you are teaching your pig to fly.

 8) Oh yes.  I don't believe in the draft.  But it takes one swipe of the pen and its back.  Iraque in turmoil.  The entire region is screwed.  But thats another issue.  right now I would like to say.  You make me proud.  Give me more input
and don't spare the pun.  I want yout thoughts on how to solve all theese problems.  Think!!! Do we nuke the region? No.  I would like too.  But we are civilized.  Do we build a united force (very Large) with other countries and take over the region?  Really what do we do? Think.  Or do we just Bash Bush and hope the next guy has the as big a pair of balls as George W. and pick up where he left off and get the job done?  Rememebr 9-11 and don't forget to watch the news.  They don't like us and are comming to get us weather you believe it or not.

My pig doesn't fly yet.  But if he did!!!!!  Young Grasshopper.  You might someday get drafted.  Sad but true.  Think.  What do we do??  No one liners.  This is your life and Canada an't gonna take you if the draft comes back.  Their kids are over there too. Most of all. this is your country your home.

Is this sarcasm?  You earlier said you wanted to bring back the draft.

You want to nuke other people?

If we're smart, we withdraw our troops from the over 130 nations they occupy.  End all foreign aid, and end taxation.
