Glad you liked it. ;D
Man I was working on that as you were getting taken away.

I was laughing and stuff. When I posted it Ian said something like that almost lifted my spirits. I thought gee he sure is somber... then he must have realized I was unaware and pointed me to the thread.

We jumped in the car and flew to Concord.

I wrote a letter to Russ and put it in the mail this morning.

BTW I loved all the letters from you guys. They were the highlight of my day in jail. I reread them many times. :)

Quote from: CNHT on August 17, 2006, 12:20 PM NHFTHe disagrees with the rest of the 90% who work within the system, and that's his right.
He advocates not voting, not running for office, and not paying taxes and as Denis said, 90% us would not ascribe to that advice because we are making gains in that area to 'make NH free'.

I think when Denis says that people should not move here if they think all they are going to do is come to NH to aggravate the law and get arrested he is just trying to emphasize that this is not all there is to it and is just pointing out what the majority do and don't do for activism.

Now my thoughts are, I am glad Russell is not starving himself anymore because I worry that this can't be good for his health. If anything were to happen to him, he would be depriving Kat of a husband that she dearly loves, and as a widow, I know how sad that is.
Last time the government had an election in my town like 4% of the people voted.
We all know that there are plenty of people that work inside the governments system. It is safer.
Why would I starve myself? I have a great life and have a lot to you do.  [translation courtesy Kat]

I had read that Russell was going to an IRS office. But, he did it alone. That made him a simple target. I know I'm not yet in NH...but I would like to suggest that if 10 or 15 people had joined Russell...they could have all gone in ONE at a time. As one is arrested and taken away...another goes in. Then another, etc. If nothing else it would have used up a lot of police getting called back each time. Man, I can't wait to get to NH!
I would love it if you joined me next time. :)

Has Russell ever considered adding a rubber chicken to his pitch fork (as if it has been stabbed)?  It just makes sense to me...
I have never liked rubber chickens. The pitchforks have a nice clean look to them. :)

What exactly are his actions accomplishing in NH?

Other then attracting more extremists and turning off moderates what exactly has Russell acomplished?
That is probably all I can accomplish. I am only one guy after all.
More extremists 8)

I am sorry then both you and others here, as well as, apparently the society in general are just plain ignorant of what exactly our individual freedom of speech (handing out fliers) and movement, assembly rights are...

you only have a freedom of speech right - an individual common right - in areas that we have a common right of way (sidewalks, parks, etc) to or in a collectively owned building where the explicit purposes is to freely share ideas in an open forum.

you have no freedom of speech rights inside the collectively owned buildings that would purposely disrupt the business being transacted there - whether it is the IRS or not.

Aaahhhh... my ears are bleeding. Or would that be my eyes? Yeah, my eyes are burning.

Do not use "only" and "freedom" in the same sentence! It BURNS!!!  :o :'(

our free speech rights and right of ways being individual rights held in common are not absolute - they are bracketed by every other individual's equal right to the same.

you can not intentionally block the right of way on the sidewalks or shout someone else down in a public forum...I am sorry it is a legitimate use of authority and force to remove that person who is denying the individual equal rights of others.

we can overcome a few naysayers. We have bigger obstacles than that. :)

Yep.  The hand wringers can moan all they want.  It won't stop the non-violent Liberty revolution.   ;D

If I can do this stuff, you can to. I am no special person like Gandhi or MLK. I just decided to do what I could. I know we can be free if we all do that.

I totally agree.   :clapping:

On our last free russell protest, I was the first one to go across the street with a sign. :icon_thumleft:

You were certainly a trailblazer   8)   It was great, you nonchalantly sat up on the ledge, leaned the sign against your leg, and just took out a book like the ICE thugs weren't even there.  And, pretty soon, they weren't!  It was interesting how once we all got up there, it was as though they retreated back into the building, and then when we broke for lunch they came back out and "reclaimed the territory."

Welcome to the forums, btw :)

Let me add my welcome to the forum, Kira! And my thanks to your mom for letting you participate here.

It's not easy for parents to turn lose and recognize that our teenagers have developed minds of their own. You've got a great mom.  :)
