How about instead of telling us how to do our civil disobedience, you do your own?

I don't think it is right to slap down people who are trying to help, even if they are just helping by offering advice.   Spencer if I ever do something and you have constructive ideas for doing it better, I will listen and will appreciate your feedback.

Frank .... you should really join us. We are going to have so much fun. I think I heard one of the Keenestone cops say he wanted to know more about land rights.

freedom is just another word for nothing left to loose.

CD comes at the end not at the beginning because by deliberately provoking the state you will actually make it bigger...

I have 5 copies of the Bill of Rights Security Edition if anyone wants to carry one in their backpack.  It highlights the 4th amendment.  Russell and I don't need them.

I have 4th amendment shipping tape (you have to break it to get into a package or bag). I'll bring it to the unauthorized MVP meeting on Saturday.

That's actually EXTREMELY good, in my non-lawyer opinon.
Physical evidnce that the bag would have been opened without consent or a warrant.
If it comes to the courtroom, this will certainly help -- A LOT.

I'm a public defender who takes almost every single case to trial
In my opinon, you are therefore among the most highly useful and potentially effective people I've head the pleasure of seeing post on this forum.
Thank you, Spencer!

Fair enough, Russell.  I classify what I do as "monkeywrenching" the system, while protecting the rights of those who are accused by an overbearing and powerful government.

A great idea, too!  Almost makes me want to apply to law school.  Almost.

Are you planning on alerting the cops to this event, or are you expecting them to be monitoring this thread?

Kat Kanning

There was talk of sending out a notice, but I don't think anyone has written it up yet.

I'm thinking Hey, I have several days off and, I realy like visiting my friends in Keene.  Maybe I'll pitch a tent somewhere near Mt. Monadnock and stay for the Sunday activities to.

If I am Free to help clean the side of the road on Sunday with you guys, I will.  If I'm not Free, Blame the the police.  They will be eating up community dollars rather than doing as GOOD people will.  There is no reason for them to bother non-violent people.

BTW, got any FIJA stuff to put in backpacks?  I hear it makes realy nice evidence.   ;D

Anyone want to:

Write a press release?
Write a letter to the police?
Make a poster to put up around town/campus?

That is one of the greatest ideas that I have ever heard (okay, read).  You, sir, are a genius.

I wonder if it would be considered "legitimate" CD (just messing with you, Russell -- if you can handle the jackboots single-handedly, I know that you can handle my ribbing) if I handed it out with my business card to all of my drug possession clients to wrap around their "stashes" or pipes -- making it absolutely 100% relevant to the prosecution (I am salivating imagining my cross-examination of the officers and the lab technician: "Could you please read to me from the miscellaneous papers that you found wrapped around what you claim is the crack pipe?").

The possibilities are endless -- FIJA should sell little shaving kits, etc. with all sorts of nullification language all over them (people could store what some might consider contraband in them).

I love this board . . .
