Finally got a court date.  3-17-08 at 10:00 am.  For those interested, in the process, feel free to come.  It is interesting.  You go into the room, and there is a line in the middle of the room, for people to talk to, I assume prosecutors to arrange payments for various charges.  The gov't gives tickets out like Mcdonalds serves burgers.  It is a huge money making racket.
Don't believe me?  Then follow me to the court room, and if it is like the session that my buddy went to, you will believe me then.
Oh, NO weapons in the court house.  Felony.

Russell Kanning

I wonder how the process will change since you are telling them ahead of time you are not going to pay the extortion money.

That's St. Patrick's Day.
I can be there, with camera and four leaf clovers.

Made a calendar entry.

I think the same end as Dave Ridleys' trial.  I doubt they will drag it out though.

Ian, what are the requirements the court wanted on your camera for the last traffic court trial?

Don't you mean 'U turn Dave'?  Didn't they decide to handle his case 'in the usual way'?  Didn't Ridley do 4 days in a fedjail?

now we know Caleb is not in jail ..... ya never know in a police state

Nope. No jail yet. Although I have decided to dispense with the customary California license plates and registration. If expired New Hampshire tags are good enough for the good Lord, they're good enough for me.

Yes.  I still don't know what the "usual way" is.  I suspect a suspension of licence, and if pulled over again, immediant arrest for driving with a suspended licence.
How this turns out depends on how motivated they are to punish me.

I wasn't there, but, people who were didn't think the court people knew what the regular way was either

It will not take long for you to get pulled over in CA

So far he's only pleaded. If they can't prove him guilty, then the court will find in his favor. Unfortunately he won't be paid for his time... I really hate that.
