IMO, you can't seperate a person from a job they do.

Is that person "good" if he kills your child?

Is the person "good" if he locks someone up for smoking a joint. The action he or she does then further destroys that potsmokers life as he will now need to get attorneys and pay fines and have a mark of his record for life. Notice how everything is a "felony" nowadays?

Is that person "good" for dragging someone who (was innocent of any wrongdoing btw) like Lauren Canario off a front porch, throwing her in jail, and treating her like some sub-human by wearing surgical masks, gloves and violating her with humilating with degrading disrespectful "orifice checks"

How many SS/ Nazi "workers" were "good" people?  answer: NONE!

Cops are nothing but pawns, slaves to their masters. And as long as they "follow orders" which are "bad" they themselves are BAD.

I will say it again. Any good cop will quit and find a real job.

I am not sure. I don't spend a lot of time shunning people, but I also don't treat thugs with kid gloves. Since your girlfriend is hardly in the same position as a cop ... the decision is more complicated. I don't think you did the wrong thing.

We like to do fun stuff on our forum. If you want really serious discussion with no funny business, you will have to go elsewhere. We were thinking of having all kinds of words change. I am thinking of adding a few soon. The "mafia" thing has been working to great effect.

The word filtering was not the decision of the Monadnock/Keene mods. 

I agree with your perspective, Sam.  One's posts should generally be left untouched.  Perhaps an announcement to the forum and modification to the TOS would have been a more appropriate way to roll out the word filter.  I'd like to know in advance which words will be modified.  So far I know only about the change to "gov ernment".

Also, I'm speculating here, but knowing the admins, I doubt the change was made in as serious a manner as you are taking it.

I do not share the concerns David does. The cops are part of a complicated and entrenched mafia organization. I do not think they deserve the same respect as normal individuals I meet on a daily basis. Some individuals do bad things and I do not respect them.

Changing words frequently will alienate non-regulars who don't have the time to go figure out what each word is supposed to mean for real. I am not interested in reading a forum where I am missing things because words are changed to "Sock" and I don't know what's going on.

When I think of my path to liberty it becomes clear that "the butterfly effect" if you will could have easily turned me into one of these law and order, legalism loving, people that I now consider to be working for the root of evil. When I considered myself a very very limited small gov Republican who supported the drug war (never knew anyone thought differently) if I wouldn't have seen Harry Browne and others on CSPAN 8 years ago where would I be now? If I wouldn't have found mises.org and Free Talk Live what would I be advocating today? So as hard as it is to consider these statists to be "good", remember that they think they are saving society when doing their jobs. It could have easily been anyone of us doing these jobs if our life experience would have been just a bit different. Kill the statists! Kill them with kindness and love!

P.S. I think the monopolistic incorporated land mass known as Keene, NH will be my home this summer.
