Totally right Friday ..... he should visit to decide.

Hi guys. My last response was a bit defensive, which I hope is understandable as I read Eukreighn's post as being a bit of a put down. To think you can tell someone what a freedom loving person has/ought to do is a bit silly.

I don't want to come across as if I'm diminishing your accomplishments. I've been kept up to date via Dave's frequent reports on Free Talk Live, and have been considering moving irregardless, because of what I've been hearing about. The choice to leave my family, friends, and job is a hard decision. I don't drive, I'm not going to use planes until they are free to use. This means I will see my family and friends very little, and some of them I might never see again. What does it say to them if I make that decision easily? I'll also be coming alone. So I've pledged to give up everything. Everything. Maybe that means I don't love liberty enough. I think it means that I value what I have, and love liberty. Guess thats a matter of where you are sitting.

So I don't think wanting to know that there is a good number of people willing to make the same sacrafice is in anyway flippant, and to represent it as such makes me immediately defensive.

Friday: I haven't joined the FSP. I did not sign the FSP SOI. I don't like the FSP SOI, it's not fixed enough. I have pledged to move in three years, if 1000 other people also agree to do so. More than likely I would consider moving if it seemed a large number were going to, but I have not given my word to do so. Thank you for your empathetic response.

You should be able to make 100s of new friends in NH.  However, you might be able to find someone to go with you.  I had a friend sign up.  Also, 2 of my friends became Friends of the FSP.  Heck, if Wyoming was selected, my brother would have even moved and I might have been able to get another brother to move to Denver.

I'll make a flyer that compares WI and NH for you to show pro-freedom people in WI.  Also, if you can get people in your area or that you care about to give FTL a try, you never know what they may do in the future.

TN-FSP: Thanks I'd appreciate that.

Why let the tyrants win? Don't let them stop you from flying.

Tell me of any changes you want.

You need to join the TN-FSP Yahoo group to get to that page, though.

Sadly, I won't have the capital together to move untill mid 2009, so I won't be able to sign it.

Perhaps if there were a pledge to move in 2010 but only if 5,000 others agreed I could sign that.

But I'll be coming around that time anyway.

They don't want you to stop flying; they just want to know where you are at all times. Don't let them know. :-X

Greetings,Me and my better half moved here last April and we are glad we did.
We signed the pledge about a year before we moved, made plans, sold our house in PA. and simply moved. It has not been easy, but then, moving never is.We both grew up in military families,so it was not a new thing to us.I see no reason to wait for others to move,if you are wanting a better quality of life.I have found in life that sometimes you have to stop talking and start doing. Why should one's decision to move be based on someone else's decision to move?Is there going to be a starting line set up somewhere with 999 people waiting for the last one to get there and then all 1000 sprint across the state line at once ????WTF?

I just see it as a way to encourage people to join you in what you're doing.

No.  It is for people that have already moved (like you) to sign and for people that are going to move soon to sign.  People have until the last day of 2006 to sign it, but may sign it before that day.  Then, if 1000 people sign it; they have until the last day of 2008 to move.  So, people that moved last year or will move this year should still sign it.

I agree all the 'early movers' should sign... we need to get more people here.
I think that the early movers number about 120 right? (so far)

As of this moment, 133, that we know of.

So,I signed when I pledged to move, then I signed after I moved. Is this all the signing that I need to do?I am not being sarcastic,I am just trying to get the point of all this.I cant see anyone moving because I did, just as I did not move because someone else did.I moved because of the 101 reasons to move to N.H. and to try to keep N.H. from becoming like Mass. and the rest of the socialist states out there. If thats not good enough to get people to move, then they will not move if 50,000 people sign.People should stop procrastinating and get off their butts and move, if they are going to.The sooner the better.Freedom isnt free and all the rest of the cliche's we are always hearing and saying. We all have to make some sacrifices to achieve some change.Sorry,If I offend anyone, but the sh*t is hitting the fan now.It is not waiting until 2008.
