I GOT IT!  This lady owns Walmart.  Let's just ship it from China, and make all those Americans pay for it.  Take away their jobs...make them need us more and more each and every day.  Your kind wouldn't even be welcome in St. Kitts.  You're way too fucking lazy even for them...

Scott don't waste any more time on this tr--- er, person. I know I'm not.. :::Ignore button:::

Well, we usually have a chat on Monday nites...oh, this isn't a chat? :'(

I've seen IRC channels that didn't scroll this fast.

Mrs. Concious

I have a whole heard of goats tonight.

Time to eat. ;D

Mrs. Concious

It is quite possible that I will never set foot upon St. Kitts.  Its all about liberty in this lifetime and nothing less.

People should move to that location that best suits them relative to what least suits them.  For me I refuse to compromise anymore regarding my liberty and properties.  NH is perhaps the best state of the 50 to enjoy relative degrees of liberty.  However, NH is but a slave to the federal government and until NH reclaims its sovereignty and returns to a republic then it is on the path to destruction albeit at a slower rate then other states of the union.

Perhaps it is the lack of knowledge of how free one can be in many parts of Europe et al that bars Americans from leaving the "homeland".

Was not America founded by liberty lovers seeking relatively more liberty?  Would not it be "American" to leave America in search of increased liberty?

...and St Kitt's is run by wealthy Americans who still leave HERE. I rest my case!

Mrs. Concious

Actually the islands are home to those evil creatures called banks.  Said banks own your legislators, you judges, and executives.  Of course these banks do not pay taxes.  He who has the gold makes the rulz.

Quoteyou are not the kind of person cut out for the everlasting fight for liberty.

Why fight for it when you it is being offered at competitive rates elsewhere.  If I partake of this offer elsewhere am I not supporting it?

Am I not worthy unless I get Rambo for liberty?

Hello?
No, you just aren't a patriot.

Mrs. Concious

QuoteFunny thing, we all seem to agree on that very point!!!

You will not have liberty in your lifetime in America.  NH rolls up to the federal gov. and is the feds lackey.

There is one possiblity for liberty in NH:

If the majority of the NH people pulled a Gandhi then and only then could you possible get back to basics.  A peacefull comitted massive resistance movement would indicate an extreme understanding of what it takes for regime change.

Any armed resistance will be swiftly crushed by the feds...this you know already.

There will be no freedom or even limited government effected by way of the legislature of NH.

"Power does not easily concede....yada, yada".

QuoteWell that's a shame! The place looks beautiful... isn't it worth an occasional vacation at least?

I would be interested in visiting Nevis to see Hamilton's home.  Dominica would be an interesting place to tour as well.

Prior to the time of the American Revolt of 1776 Nevis and St. Kitts provided more revenue to the British Empire than all 13 colonies combined per anum.  Ironic.

By all means struggle for liberty and I hope you get it.

Meanwhile I shall be enjoying it.....immensely.

Interesting. Once our economy collapses completely the controllers in London might actually take in more from these little islands than from us once again!

There is nothing to take in as tourism is the only industry and that would collapse.  Resident businesses are oftentimes chartered elsewhere for various and sundry reasons.

If these islands were to become major commerce centers then the risk would be there for taxation but for now the highest and best use appears to be an international tax haven.  W/o tax haven status the islands would do much worse.

Eliminate taxes and prosperity roots.

Aland is nice, but it can get pretty cold, especially during the winter.  The primary reason that I believe that it would take a chunk of money is that the cost of importing materials/supplies is pretty high.  I believe that I could get by on my own there, but to try to support a family while living there would take a lot more $, and the cost to travel between NH and there is pretty hefty.  I also would need to eliminate my debt and save up a bunch of money for startup costs (transportation, construction, supplies, etc.).  The nearest city is 4 hours from my cabin by boat.  I have several relatives who own summer homes on the same island.  It is a few miles across and there are a lot of wild blueberries growing on it and there is enough game to keep someone fed.  Fishing's not too bad either.  I've caught some decent sized Northern Pike, which is one of the more tasty fish.  There is an abandoned quarry on the island, which is full of some of the cleanest water I've ever seen.  My grandparents have a farm on the island.  I think growing your own food would be the most cost effective.  I think that as long as I am renting instead of owning a home, I will not have as much freedom as I otherwise could have.  My rental agreement has a list 3 pages long of things that I'm not allowed to have/do on the property.  After I graduate from college, I will probably move north to an area that doesn't have zoning restrictions and is less expensive.  I believe that freedom can be had in NH. You just have to find the right place for you and remain eternally vigilant in the fight to retain freedom.

QuoteI think that as long as I am renting instead of owning a home, I will not have as much freedom as I otherwise could have.

As a renter you have the freedom of leaving whenever you desire...n'er to return.

Renters are not required to tie their capital up so that they may earn a better return on capital elsewhere.

The current real estate buble has been ideal for renters as the rent rates have not increased in direct proportion to rocketing home prices.

If you buy a home then you must be ok with the fact that you have bought your banker a home at the end of the 30 term.

If you bought a home in the past 3 years then you will be buying two homes for banker.
