The judge threw it out, and Russell's been released. His family's headed out to pick him up.

Great! ;D

That Damn Russell, now he is ruining it  for the people in Kansas.  ;D

Wow.  Russel arrested, then freed, all in two pages.
"BETH! Russel was arrested in Kansas!", I yelled to her out in the back yard.

"OH, wait, the judge threw it out!", before she made it to the door.

Man I've been burying myself in work and don't come on the forum for 12 hours and everything goes nuts.

Glad they let the "NH Tarbaby" go.  :)

They finally found a judge over 2 counties. I pled guilty. He fined my $200+ and suspended the other 4 days of jail time.
I spent one night in a tiny dirty jail in Oakley (I was arrested in Gove county ... they don't have their own jail) and spent today driving around with a deputy. He wanted to just let me go, but had to "do his job".
I didn't promise to do anything and didn't pay any money. They all spent a lot on me and got nothing but trouble.

Ohhhhh by the way   .... We live in a Police State.

They ran my plates at a rest area off of I-70. It came up as a different vehicle, so he pulled me over and arrested me for no license. Today they admitted that the sheriff just typed the number in wrong. I got out free, but the car will cost some money to pry from the evil thugs tomorrow.
I guess these guys have nothing better to do than eat donuts and run plates.
The deputy stopped for donuts only once while we were driving around today. (9am to 4pm)

They didn't know what they were going to do with me if the judge had given me jail time or if they would have wanted money today (which I would not have given him).

By the way

I'm Free!

although this stuff is getting really annoying

You rode around with him on patrol while you were in custody?  How'd you manage that?

Russell Kanning

no patrol .... he was driving me from jail to office to court to jail .... all day long

You know, if they'd just written you a ticket, he could have spent the day harassing other people and eating more donuts.

You kidding?  It's a county of 2700.  It was probably the most exciting episode in his police career.  ;D

Dear Kat, Russell,

If you guys have any trouble in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama, I can be there within less than a day.  I have places on my "underground railroad" in Kansas, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Georgia, and the Carolinas right now, and I'm working hard on the others.  I have family in Lawrence Kansas.  There is a network of peace activists in Lawrence who travel to places all over Kansas.

Contact me through http://indomitus.net/ or http://vertoro.com/ or http://golightspeed.com/ or by Hushmail at golddollarranch@hushmail.com or by phone at 785-393-1393.  People answer 24/7 at 713-664-0002.

I can also provide legal support in most of the above states.  I travel a lot.  Mom was the head of a chapter of the ACLU for years, and I have lots of other legal connections.  I've lawyers on retainer in KS, WY, NC, TX, and TN.

Please feel free to contact me if you have a situation like what happened to Russell over in KS.  I travel a great deal, by car, and can go where I'm needed.

It sounds like the Browns may still need help in NH?

Regards,

Jim
