Money should only be given directly to people involved in projects.? Like the FTL amp thing....? You like PorcFest, then send money to Kate for it.

Does anyone know of a functional organization that operates this way? It sounds like a great idea, but I personally have no experience with it. I'm semi-familiar with fund accounting.

This does sound good, except for the accounting of a tsar for each activity. If you plan to start a second, in my opinion, redundant, org, you could set it up this way.  People could vote with there money.

Dreepa

Ok people say there are not enough ideas.

1. Better BOD meeting minutes.
2. A plan by the board for the upcoming year for
? ? How many members for certain deadlines. (Goals)
? ? How to raise more money.
? ? How to spend that money wisely.
? ? How to teach people how to recruit.
? ? Plans to get the new people very active
? ? Plans to give more info about NH so people can move.
3. ?Open communication about the above.
4. ?Something like the activist army where the 'gogetters' want to do more. ?(I have no idea why it failed but all the people bitching on this board can either join or be quiet. ?-- or at least put your dick back in your pants.)
5. ?Plan some way of commenting without comprising the FSP goals when activists do take action. (and maybe that is being done and the reporters aren't reporting-- but if that is the case then the FSP should then get a retraction or post the full story on the website)
6. Excite the local groups

Jon I will cross post this on the FSP forum as well.

I don't have more brilliant ideas than the current fsp leadership. I just want them to get out of the way of all of us. Sandy has taken a ?positive step towards liberty in our lifetimes. We cannot be held back by the egos of the fsp leadership.
You can crumudgeon all you want, but that won't stop us. :)

Stoping implies that you are, actually, moving.

kater

Amen, Dreepa.

I know that some of that is in the works, but a) all of it should be, and b) you should know about it before you hear it from me third hand.

How about some offers to help interjected in the "off with their heads" chorus?

Where have I heard that one before?
When the fsp leadership is misguided, helping them is not the way to go. If they want to jump on our bandwagon, they are welcome. :)

kater

Russell,

The question is, what exactly is your bandwagon?  All I've been able to glean to far is that your bandwagon hates the leadership and wants them ousted.  You and Kat, as usual, would rather sneak-attack than lend a hand--and, believe it or not, developing a reputation for reliability and productivity *is* how you climb whatever FSP ladder there is.  If you think the current leaders fail those tests, why don't you try to replace them by demonstrating that you pass?

Baron,

Who is "us" and what have you tried to do?  Tell me how you've been stopped, and maybe we can work on fixing something.  Bitch without specifics and you can keep playing in the petulance sandbox.

I wonder if we can recruit another walker for next spring, missed out this year.

Has anyone heard from Mooseboy lately? He wasn't at PorcFest, was he?

No, he was not.  He still lives in the Mid-west with is friend.  I'll myspace message you his myspace account.

Free Town Project. Do I need to say more?
The FTP was before my time..... but if everyone still likes the idea of an FTP... go do it.
Get some of the 6800 people within the FSP and move to that town.... how can the FSP stop you?

Dreepa

Quote from: The Baron on October 25, 2005, 10:52 AM NHFT
It can't. But it certainly tried it's damn best to butt in where it didn't belong.

A free town is no longer one of my goals at this point in time.

So why are you bitchin'?

I do not want to climb the fsp corporate ladder. I am part of a revolution and if the fsp leadership wants to join us, then I am glad. The fsp leadership seems to stand for very little except inactivity. So why would I be lending them a hand? I guess I am not so much telling them what to do, as I am warning them to get out of the way. :)

Many people think I have "gone too far". I must be moving. :)

Just yell "they're coming right at me!" before you shoot.

Or you're going to do what?  Sabotage something that others believe in just because you personally don't like it?  Why can't you stick to doing your own thing if that's what you want to do so desperately?  As far as I can tell, that would have little to do with these flare-ups where you hoot and holler and dance (prematurely) on the FSP's grave.

You seem so intent on being a rebel that you're unwilling to work with people who don't agree with you 100%.  Way to do what libertarians have always done and what the FSP was designed to avoid.  If anything will be the demise of the project, it'll be people who love upheaval more than they love liberty--and while I don't believe that you consciously think that, your actions say it loud and clear.
