100 lashings with a wet noodle for quoting Marx! Unless, of course,  it's Groucho

As Marx said 'To each according to his abilities'  Do what you do best in the fight for freedom.

(Did I just quote Marx?)

Marx said, "From each according to his abilities..."

I think that "To each according to his abilities..." is perfectly free-market and libertarian.  ;D

Thanks Kevin.

No WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want everyone to come and eat and drink and chat at 7:30 and then at 9:30 go upstairs and enjoy the bar with the band and all.

It's my way of having fun on my birthday ? sharing as it were ? the best way I know how without screwing up my own house. LOL

QuoteI could choose to protest and burn flags

That's an excellent idea, Maxxx, I say go for it!

Another good idea would be to hold viewings of a 9-11 video in your local area.  You could hand out flyers while you're protesting and burning.  Protesting is a good way to meet the folks, and since you say the politicians don't care, I'm glad that you are seeing the value of taking your message directly to the folks.  ;)

See this is what I'm talking about ? how does watching a 911 video help us to take our money and freedom back IN NH? It's worthy of discussion but it is a NATIONAL ISSUE that we really can't do much about...
If you want to work to make a free state, you gotta work at the state level and I think that is what Maxx is talking about.
We have enough to do just getting the UN influence out of the schools which is the reason why we have all the nonsense mandated by the  gov't. You gotta strike at the root!

Focusing on who is on the school board while Hitler is taking over the country is like fiddling while Rome burns.

I guess that's where we differ ... I think it is a national issue that we CAN do something about.  I could have tried to make Indiana freer.  In a lot of ways, Indiana was freer.  I came here because the thought of 20,000 activists all working in the same general vicinity, fighting the feds together, is pretty damn exciting. Way more exciting then 20,000 people all trying to get made Selectman(woman).

Russell Kanning

Three cheers for doing something ....... about the Feds.

Rome starts at your town meeting too....that's where most of the robbery is committed.

I'm not sure I'm following you.  Let me show you my typical state and local taxes:

I don't own property (and if I did, it would be put in a tax free shelter), so my total tax paid to the state and local governments is my 8% meals tax.  If I eat out every night and day, spending $150 per week on food, that amounts to $600 monthly on food.  At 8% tax, that's $48 the state confiscates from me per month, for a total of $576 annually.  That's quite a bit of money, I guess, but its FAR, FAR less than what the fedgov takes from me.

And then again, you're supposing that the dollar amount is the biggest thing.  I'm kind of standing with Thoreau ... it matters more to me WHAT they are spending my money on.  Fedgov uses my money to kill people.  NH does not.

Saying you don't pay property tax because you don't own property is like saying only tobacco manufacturers are going to pay the proposed cigarette tax.

Whether you own or rent, you're paying property tax.

Granted, but that's very difficult to quantify, Kevin.  How much of his tax does my landlord pass on to me, considering that the majority of his property is his personal residence, there are other tenants, etc, I would find it very difficult to quantify that.  Plus, when I do purchase land (hopefully soon) and put it in a tax free shelter, then I will be property tax free.

And you're missing the point:  It is more important to me WHAT the money is spent on (ie, that it isn't used for what I feel are serious moral crimes) than the pure dollar figure.
