We have plenty of room there so any kids that come can spread out and play games while the adults talk. :)

Hi folks:

I know we have a lot to work on at our meeting Weds, but I have a suggestion......

At the same time, Weds., Feb. 9th, at 7pm, Keene will be holding the Keene School District First Session Meeting.

Basicially, it is where the people of the city get together, and hammer out the final proposals, add ammendments, etc., to the school warrant articles for next month's vote.

It's basically NH cities version of the old-fashioned New England town meetings (the towns still have them).

Great, low level Athenian-mob style democracy in action.

Whoever wants to go can go, but you need to be a registered voter in Keene to vote on the motions.

There's a section set aside for non-Keene people to watch.

It's at Keene High, across from Varrins house (:O)), in the auditorium.

This would give you new-comers ;O) a chance to see NH (actual) democracy in action. Could be great for the group. Whatdyall think?

Jim,

I already send out meeting invites to a large group of
people who aren't on this list.  It's too late to
change it.  More advance notice of these things would
be appreciated.  What Russell and I were talking about
was letting him run the Monadnock Porcs meeting, and
I'll go over to the school meeting, with any other
Keene folks who are interested.  Split up a bit.
There'll be a bunch of people coming to the monadnock
porcs who wont necessarily be interested in the
intimate details of Keene politics.  I am though!

I hope to see many of you there. If you decide to head over to Keene High it is a short drive from the Pizza Place. Kira and I will be enjoying pizza while Kat watches the polical games. :)

Sorry I missed it. I planned to go, and something creeped up right before, making it impossible. Stupid timing.
