End Marijuana Prohibition Rally, Let's get active.

From other discussions on this and other discussions it seems most people on this board and accordingly vast numbers in the public believe that pot should be legal. There has been some talk of having some sort of a rally/protest at the head of the square in Keene. I know that some people don?t like protesting, but I think that there are enough of us who do, and enough pot advocates, who would stand up and get active.

The city of Keene will give permits if done in advance. Given that there will be hundreds of people there it will probably be a good idea to get the permit. There may be a group that wants to help sponsor this, but someone can easily get one at the Recreation Center down on Washington St. in Keene.

If we set the date in the spring it will give all the pot advocate groups as well as pro-freedom in general groups time to gather lots of supporters. This seems to be an issue that many walks of life, such as the greens  , would stand up for.

This will be a way to show the public that all sorts of people want to end prohibition. Most of the public is already well aware that pot is not harmful. It is simply a choice that over 100 million Americans have been able to make for themselves.
