Yes, it's Alabama, but bureaucrats being bureaucrats, get ready for some hassles if you want to try to visit someone they don't want to be seen.

If you want to visit, call the prison and get the rules for visitors in advance.  You don't want to arrive and have them disqualify you for stupid stuff like wearing shorts, or not wearing panties.

Again, expect the worst.  These bureaucrats will *make up rules* just to keep you away from the inmate.

What about Saturday leaving from Concord @ 2:00?

It's 3 hours in each direction, so if we spend 2 hours there, then we'll be back in Concord at 10pm.

Is that an acceptable plan?
