Noon on Thursday, we'll be going to the IRS, telling them that we don't like them funding murder and torture.  Got some fun planned  ;D

Also Friday June 8th at noon.

Get Mike to tell them in French. They'll assume he's a socialist, and throw money at him.

I wonder if the ICE guys will come and protect those poor IRS employees.

And straw hats -- a loose edge could poke someone's eye out!

Good luck

With all this fun happening in Keene I can't wait until I can get there. I wonder if they might call out the National Gurad to surround the building, put up baracades, roll tanks infront of the doors to protect the poor helpless IRS agents?

Kat Kanning

come on up...we'd love to have you!  :D

Don't forget to give a personal side of it as well, perhaps at the end. Let them know that they could be doing so much better at a real private-sector job, and without the taxes, they'd be making more money and doing better things for themselves and the people/causes they care about than ever before!

It is not necessarily true they will make more money. That may be true for the IRS employees, but I doubt any fed cop could make more outside the government .... at least right away.
It seems more important to emphasize what is right and wrong, not how to make money. :)

Russell I don't know about that if the Fed is a good detective they probably could make more $$ if they started their own detective company.

Several people stopped and talked to us today, being supportive.  There were lots of honks for the 'honk if you hate taxes' sign.

There was a note on the IRS door saying that the person working there was away on a family illness.  I think it's bogus and they just can't be bother to defend their office.  The ICE guys don't like to come to Keene and the marshals get lost here.

I burned some tax forms back out on the sidewalk.  Someone complained to the police, who complained to me, but they didn't do anything about it.

I don't know why, but somehow the image of roasting marshmallows over the flames sprang to mind. :campfire:
