The IRS is still in Keene, but they are not too comfortable with us outside.

They shouldn't be comfortable. I don't see how they sleep at night or look themselves in the mirror in the morning with what they do.

I don't understand the anti-Bass signs... Do you want Hodes?  Isn't he even worse in that he wants more goverment and higher taxes?  Seems to me that voting for the greater of two evils instead of the lesser of two makes no sense?

Admittedly I don't get to vote in that race so I've only slightly been following it.  The Bradly vs. Porter race is the one I'm following.

Hehe, that was cool.  I put the bigger one up for people to use as an avatar, if they want.
I think it would be nice if all/most of us changed to the V avatar on the 5th.

I like it!

I don't want Hodes or Bass. Hodes is worse in that he wants more government and higher taxes, etc. Bass is worse in that he supports torture and REAL ID, etc. I won't be voting for either one of them.

From what I understand Hodes is pushing for read ID backdoored through national healthcare so that would be two evils for the price of one.

My point is if you actively campaign against Bass, people are going to assume Hodes is the better of the two choices when in my opinion he's the worse of the two.

Tom Sawyer

No one is campaigning for anyone when they say he voted for torture. The dichotomy that you can't criticize one without supporting the other... that's why the neo cons have been given free rein.

Because most people don't care about politics and actually think it's ok to trade  :brave:   for :glasses7:

Sigh.  What can you do?     :atlas:

BTW, The Salem Observer (of Nov. 1, 2006) says: "Candidates to be listed on the ballot on Nov. 7 - ... U.S. Representative: Libertarian "Ken" Blevens, Republican Charles Bass, Democrat Paul Hodes.  ..."

error

"Ken" with quotes? What did they THINK his name was?

Just quoteing the paper . . . Yup, that's what it says.

However my point is that in that race it is not just R vs. D.
I'm thinking I'll vote L - FOR "Ken" Blevens.

Ah, okay.

Wake me when they endorse a libertarian. ;D

Well, for now, I'll endorse the Libertarian.   :o

error

John, your endorsement is good enough for me! 8)

Can someone give me a ride who is already planning on attending?  I don't want to bug Mark.

FTL_Ian

Caleb will be picking me up.  We may be a little late, but hope to see someone else out there considering the Kannings are out of town.
